Mail order pies - why??

I've just been channel hopping and found pies being sold on QVC. I always wonder whats makes someone buy food (especially meat products) from QVC - it seems very expensive way to get them.

I love watching the Lime Tree Pantry hours but I've never bought anything from them. I suppose people are paying for the fact that they are all (supposedly) hand made to order.
