Hello,

I know I did a thread on this a whlie back but I am still stressing!

I am travelling in my maiden name when we go to WDW next week.

Everything else I have is in my married name.

I have until 2011 on my passport and I dodn't want to change it due to the problems etc with new passports.

When we booked our holiday our travel agent said that this was perfectly fine and that many people do this?

I still rang round oter travel agents in my area and asked them the same thing and they said that its fine too.

I went to Brugge and it wasn't a problem, but the imigration in the USA is a lot more stricter and i'm really worried about it.

I even had a nightmare last night about it in which they wouldn't let me in and I had to go back home and I got arrested!!!

I'm really stressed about it. I called my TA again today and was told its ok and not to worry but I am.

After reading the thread about the problems at airports with new passports etc i'm even more nervous.

Please help before I have a complete breakdown! I know the flight will be horrid as i'll be worrying non stop that I won't be allowed to WDW...Am I being a complete worry wart or not???

Should not be a problem.
I would imagine, that you will have to fill in the VWF with you passport name? (anyone??) and have your own White form at a guess?
I woulkd perhaps take a copy of your Prison sentance form, errrr. Marriage Licence :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
with you as backup.

It's fine, your passport is valid as per UK rules so that should be good enough.

We travelled round the world stopping twice in America without issue on our honeymoon, no-one even asked.

As far as they are concerned, it's no different to you having kept your name after marriage.

Thanks you 2.

I am taking with me my birth certificate (copy), a copy of my marriage license and some old ID with my maiden name...not that much though.

I can't think of anything else I can take with me???

You should be fine. Fill in the visa waiver etc in your madien name and that is that :)

There is not actually anything that says you have to take on your married name anyway. If your cards etc are all in yur married name it may be worth taking your marriage certificate with you.

I know it's easy to say don't worry about it but don't:)

I had the same thing a couple of years ago when we went to WDW, I didn't change my passport to my married name until it ran out. I had no problems at all.

There is nothing in law to say you have to change your name when you get married. I still have some utility bills in my maiden name as too much hassle to change! As long as passport and ticket say the same who is to know different?

Claire ;)

You will be fine - loads of people have this situation when going on their honeymoon so it is not exactly something the immigration people won't have come across before.

Take all the documents that you have listed with you and you can't go wrong. Now stop worrying and start getting excited!! (this coming from someone who posted a thread a while back saying immigration gave me the fear... I do sympathise with you as I'm a hopeless worrier even when there is nothing to worry about too!)

thanks everyone.

I know i'll be very nervous when we land into the US, but at least i'll be worried about that that i'll forget i'm a nervous flyer... :rotfl2:

You really don't have anything to worry about.
We got married last year and went back in January and also to Majorca in April on my old passport.
There is no problem as long as your tickets match your passport.
