We have three kids, an almost 6 y/o DD (48" + tall), a 3 y/o DS, and an 8 month old. At Discovery Kingdom, we take turns taking our oldest on thrill rides (or occasionally going on one solo) while the other takes our son to ride something he can do by himself and takes care of the baby. This works for us since we have the Gold Pass and can go all year, we don't mind that we can only get so much done and spend most of our time in the kiddie areas.
We're going to Magic Mountain this weekend (free entry with our Gold Pass) as the first stop in our family vacation. They have several coaster rides both of our older two can ride, some bigger ones oldest would like to try, and maybe a few my husband and/or I would do solo.
Does anyone know how queues work with non-riders? Can we all line up for one ride and take turns riding? Do they allow children not tall enough to ride to wait in a queue (Disneyland doesn't)? We want to make the most of our day as we don't plan to return any time soon.
