I got my daughter hooked on blackend Mahi Mahi in Destin Florida. I've taken a few looks on the menus but that was a while back. I know some restaurants with ADR's offer it...which one would you recommend. Thanks and I'll take your answer off the air.

San Angel, the mexican restaurant in Epcot, has a Mahi Mahi dish that we really enjoyed.
Here's the menu item from Allears.com:

Mahi-Mahi a la Veracruzana - Grilled fillet of mahi-mahi served over white rice, prepared with capers, olives, bell peppers, Spanish onions, and tomatoes, seasoned with white wine and spices $25

I have also had it at Citrico's in the Grand Floridian, but it was a special, and is not on the regular menu..

The Big River City Grille, located on the Boardwalk, also has a Mahi-Mahi sandwich, and is in a casual setting. I enjoyed it last year.

Love my Mahi -Mahi too! :goodvibes

Big River Grill has a macadamia nut crusted mahi with cherry sauce that was awesome :cloud9: It wasn't blackened though.
Oh, and Coral Reef has a blackened catfish which is also delish if "blackened" is what you are looking for.
Good luck!

Unfortunately, the blackened catfish at Coral Reef has been off the menu for a while. I'm crossing my fingers that it or something like it may be back in the future now that Disney is farming catfish again.

Well getting a teenager to try is one thing and then having her like it was another. So anything with nuts or spices she isn't going to want to try because she now expects it being made one way. grrrrrrr. Thanks for the help!

Big River Grill - Boardwalk, T-Rex - DTD, San Angel - Epcot, all have mahi-mahi, which you can have pretty much any way you want. Example, DS best friend only eats mahi-mahi but he likes it plain grilled, no seasonings and had it that way anywhere in Disney they had mahi-mahi on the menu, irregardless of how they advertise it.

You just have to ask if you want it a certain way and 90% of the time Disney will oblige!

This isn't at a table service restaurant but the Contempo Cafe which is the counter service location for the Contemporary has a Spice Crusted Mahi Sandwich on their menu which comes with Citrus-Apple Slaw on a Kaiser Roll. So do you think that is something your Daughter might want to order?

We have a restaurant in town that served something like this and she didn't like it. When I make our ADR's I will take these suggestions so thanks again!
