Magicbands from DS.com?

Hello,

I wanted to surprise my mom with one of the purple magic bands for a trip this summer. If I buy from the shop parks app or the Disney store website, will the band be already activated on my account? Or will she be able to activate it on her own account? Thanks! Sorry if this is the wrong place or is answered elsewhere.

MagicBands purchased from the Shop Disney Parks app and DisneyStore.com are setup as Link-It Later. Once the MagicBands arrive, they can be linked to the appropriate account.
