MagicBand2 question?

I have what I think is a interesting situation. I am Heading to Disney World in May with a family group of 11 people in total. One of our party (my sister) has rented a vacation home just south of Disney in Reunion, FL. She has also purchased park tickets for the entire group (all 11). All of these tickets are on her MyDisneyExperience account (app) and she will be making all of our Fastpass+ reservations. My question is this. I would like to purchase online, MagicBands for Me and my wife but am not sure how I would assign those MagicBands to just our tickets. I do have the actual physical "cards" in hand. I also have access to the MyDisneyExperience app login that has all 11 passes on it. All of my google searches on the subject come back with the same answer.... login to app, put in number from the MagicBand and poof it works, but i am only getting 2 bands and have 11 passes on said account? Please help!

And link the two MagicBands to the correct two people. Once linked, the MBs can’t be moved. Names can be Edited if you make a mistake but it’s easy to link to the correct people.

Thank You, I take that to mean when I go threw the process of adding the two MagicBands it will give me the opportunity to choose which two tickets/passes to link them with? I was thinking and hoping this was the case but wanted to make sure prior to purchasing them.

Yes After you enter in the code, it will ask which person to link it to when you click "Next".

Your question has already been answered, but I'll chime in and confirm what you've been told. It's quick, easy, and painless

Just one point of clarification... you link the Magic Bands to a person/MDE account, not a ticket. The tickets and the Magic Bands are associated to each other by all being linked to the same MDE account. Over time, you can end up with multiple MagicBands associated to the account that can be used interchangeably. It'll look something like this in MDE...

As @dbavis wrote, it will not give you the opportunity to link the band to a ticket. It will give you the opportunity to link them to a person.

There is nothing “on” or directly linked to a MagicBand. All they do is access the info in your MDE profile.

So do you each have your own MDE accounts? Or just under your sister’s account? If you have your own, or want it, it’s easiest to call Disney IT to merge your profiles between your account and your profile under your sister’s, if that is an issue.

Even if sister is handling all the planning, you may find it worthwhile to set up your own MDE, have her invite you. then you can look up FP times, and get additional FP after first 3 yourself. Plus the group may split up here and there.
