MagicBand+ protectors at Disneyland?

Is there anywhere at DLR (e.g. World of Disney) to buy those rubber bands that slip around MagicBand straps to keep them from falling off your wrist? I think people have previously said on this forum that there isn't, but I thought I'd double check.

If not, then can anyone tell me what size protector you need for a MagicBand+? I was looking on Amazon and it isn't always clear which products will work on the + band, as opposed to, say, the 2.0 style. For example, one vendor had 18mm and 22mm black protectors, plus protectors in different colors but with no indication of what size they were. I don't want to order some safety bands only to get to Disneyland and discover that they don't fit on the MagicBand+ I buy.

I’m sorry I don’t remember exactly which ones we bought from Amazon, but the description said which magic bands they were compatible with and that was accurate. Hopefully someone here can point you directly to one. We didn’t see them at the parks about a year ago - again, maybe that’s changed.
They work really well. They’re a little tight to slide on but made the magic bands very secure. We were really glad someone here suggested buying them!

Thanks everyone for the recommendations! One of those was the style I was looking at; good to know it will work for the newest MagicBands.

And yeah, it's weird that Disney doesn't offer these. I wish I could just buy one or two at WoD instead of a whole pack. Although I suppose Disney would charge just as much for a couple. :-)

They would cost more but they’d have really cute little Mickey heads on them! 🤣

I bought these for the older style magic bands at WDW but they also work on the magic band+. I never bought new ones when we upgrade to MB+.

Thanks, Crystal, I think I'll get those. It's confusing because that vendor has two sizes of the black bands but doesn't indicate the size of the colored ones, so I wasn't sure whether the colored ones would work on the newer MagicBands. I appreciate the confirmation.

No problem! It’s a tighter fit, which personally I like. I’m always so paranoid one of us will lose our MB! I pack the extras on every trip, just in case. But we have never needed them. I’ve also read the very small clear hair elastics can work and even braces rubber bands too.

Yup, got both BitBelt and Lingito brands for MB+, both worked well. Side note, I also put one on my Fitbit. Those silicone bands with just a snap closure can easily come unfastened in all the park activity. These BitBelts definitely work as one day we found an MB+ kind of hanging on so without these it would have slipped away without us knowing til later.

I don't know what's on there right now, but if anyone is looking for cute themed version of these... try Etsy. I got a very cute Foolish Mortals one on there last year.

It is funny that Disney hasn't taken advantage of this yet, but maybe they don't want to admit that they made a thing that doesn't work right. LOL. (Unlike Loungefly who realized everyone was buying Loungefly organizers on Etsy and started making their own!)

They actually used to sell them when Magic Bands first came out. They also sold little snap-on charms for unused holes. They discontinued them a while back. I did get a WDW 50th anniversary one that did come with a metal slider, so it's possible that a certain edition would have one, but they never sell them seperately anymore.

I'm glad I saw this thread because I'm purchasing Magicband+ for the first time on Friday and I was able to put in a quick amazon order!

We bought some of those charms at WDW in 2018 and lost half of them because they weren't really fastened in the holes, you just poked them in and hoped for the best; Disney was probably tired of sweeping them up in the parks, lol.

All of my Magic Band experience is with the MB+, which is why I wasn't familiar. I haven't been to WDW since... well, we'll just say "not in the modern era", so never had the originals one.

Yeah, they wre mostly for the Magic Band v1 style bands and mostly phased out with the v2 units. They did used to give AP holders an annual slider. Honestly, I've never had a big issue with my band falling off and am not sure how much the sliders really help (at least the Disney made ones) - but they could be a cosmetic upgrade for sure.
