Magicband 2.0 vs 1.0

since the 1.0 style can still be purchased, have a few questions:

1. Any difference in comfort for adults? (I think I heard 2.0 was lighter?)

2. Will 2.0 fit on small child? I know we can size it, but the Mickey head is pretty big, not sure how it will work.

3. I know no one really knows how long the long-range component of the chip lasts, so I was thinking it made more sense to get the 2.0 since they were made more recently. A CM told my DH however that they are still making the 1.0s? I am not sure I buy that. Seems to me the 1's are on sale and they are trying to clear them out.

I feel that the 2.0 fit much better than the originals and I like how they are thinner and more flexible.

My DW who has tiny wrists feels the 1.0 fits better and our DD5 wears either without any complaints.

I would say that the newer the band the newer the battery but I have a band from 2014 that still works fine for long range stuff.
