Magical's Debut: Effect on Crowd?

I was just looking at the DL entertainment schedule for my trip May 1-8, and noticed that Fri May 4 is the first night of Magical instead of RDCT for the fireworks show. Will this bring in more local crowds that weekend or should it have a minimal effect? Thoughts?

I doubt it will matter. It's not a new show, people have seen it before.

I also agree with skiingfast. Since Magical debut in the summer of 2009, I doubt that it will be crowded on the first night next month. When I saw Magical on the first night last year during Memorial day weekend, the crowds were just above average. So I wouldn't worry about the crowds on the first day of Magical.

Personally, I prefer RDCT to Magical....no way would I make a trip across the street to see it its "first weekend of the season".
