Has anyone used Magicalley to help them get Cinderellas castle breakfast reservations? I just saw it on their website. Do they charge if they get it? You do not have to leave your credit card info. They make the ressie in your name and then you have a certian amount of time to call back with your deposit info? Just curios if this worked for anyone.

I just found out it is $39.00 to join there club. Then they will do the calling for you. It might be worth the money if they have a good track record of getting ressies.

Thanks

I certainly wouldn't pay somebody 40 bucks just to see if they can get a PS. You'd probably be better off getting some willing friends or relatives to help call.

think about it this way.. would you pay $40 to your friend to get up in the morning and make a phone call for you?
get a couple of people to help you... :)

Laura :)

As much as we loved eating at CRT last year, there is no way I'd pay someone $40 to "maybe" get me a reservation.

I'm with everyone else, ask a few friends to help you out.

Also, I'm not sure how they are able to do it without a credit card. When you make a reservation you must give them your credit card for a deposit, and the name on the reservation can not be changed.

WOW always a way for someone to make money. That would be one expensive breakfast, and for that, Cinderella better come to my house and do my dishes! LOL

Personally, I wouldn't pay them $40.00 to get a ressie, like the other posters, I'd solicit friends, family and luck. One poster had co-workers call for her.

Plus, being skeptical by nature, I wouldn't trust them.

Personally, I can't imagine giving anyone (let alone someone on the internet that I don't know) $39 to try to get me a PS for breakfast with Cindy. Believe me! I've eaten with her, and it isn't that special. ;)

Pat

255 days and counting . . . again!

ummm....Caveat emptor!

DR

PS this is a new web address for the group that, at a different web address, was the focus of some media attention for this practice some time ago - notice all of the information about not posting your vacation information where "criminals and terrorists" can read it...what do you make of that?

I wouldn't trust them and I don't think any PS is worth and extra $40.00.

The $40 only covers the registration fee. They actually charge a monthly fee (as high as $19.95/month) on top of the registration fee to join their community! Wayyyy too much for me to afford. That's a lot of Mickey Bars.

I understood Magic Alley was the "remnant" of Howie's Angels, the group that moved Disney to get stricter on princess breakfast reservations because they were getting them all and then passing on the ressies to the people in their group.

Shame on Disney if people can still do that, they promised to do something about it.

They were in the press about a year ago, very negatively. Be cautious.

If you don't have a CC, they will let you pay the deposit with a check. I think they give you 2 weeks to get the check to them.

If you do a search on breakfast club, angles, howie, you'll be able to read all about this. I believe the uproar started about a year ago.

As a former member of Magic Alley's previous incarnation (ReadersClubhouse/Disneynation) I want to warn you to be very, very wary when dealing with that group.

For more info do a google search on "ReadersClubhouse"; "RCH"; "DisneyNation"; "Breakfast Club" and "BFC". You may be surprised at what you find (or not...).

There is a great thread at the top of these boards with all the advice and encouragement you need. Get a few friends to help you call and follow the advice. If you can't get the castle breakfast try for the GF Cinderella dinner or the princess breakfast in Norway. You can also see Cinderella at the judges tent in toontown - free!

What if you pay the $39 plus the monthly fee and they don't get you a PS?

Tried the google search and didn't come up with much other than the magicalley main page. Can anyone direct me to recent press about this group or other info? from the home page you would think it a benign entity, but apparently looks are decieving.

I think they tried their best to leave no leads, the press spoke very negatively about them. Look under "Howie's Angels". I can't recall the former webpage name, but those are basically who they are.

But I can't believe Disney left it open for people to keep doing this!

Interestingly google search for Howies angels does bring list a number of pages, but you cannot access them.

Is this a greed/scam type thing,or a cult for lack of a better word?

RADP had a lot on it - I just had it "killfiled." What they would do, apparently, is take "orders" on their website, then a group of people would call the dining line and book as many PSs as they could and offer the extras to anybody on the site who wanted them. WDW seems to have implemented the credit card deposit thing to keep this from happening.

It's not foolproof, I guess, because Disney couldn't just summarily exclude anyone who didn't have a credit card, so they had to have a check payment option.

By the way, this is a $10 per PERSON deposit that has to be made to book this PS - $5 for kids.

I am sure the old members pay nothing though. For a long time they had some areas locked to the general public.

It is still brutal to have an army call and gobble up ressies but now they do it for money!

Thank goodness I have no girls

I definitely would just try to have friends and family help you out!

I just called this past Sunday. I had 10 people calling, and out of the 10, 3 of us got PS! I couldn't believe it! The Pixie dust was flying around that day!

So, the moral of the story is, grab your friends and family and ask them to help! The more, the better!
