I knew the company I work for was filing for bankruptcy and I might be out of a job in two weeks but my vacation was starting and there was no way I was giving it up. I left for Florida and spent a week with my parents. My Mom is not well and my Dad is doing a great job caring for her but between that and working he sure needed a break. I did my best to get the daily chores done and make extra meals for the freezer. By the time my boyfriend arrived I was really tired. He spent two days with us there (first time meeting my folks) before he and I said good-bye to my parents and left for Disney Thursday night! We had two days to spend in the parks (our first time there together).
We went to MK on 11/30 (Fri) and the crowds were really light. We got to go on most of our favorites by early afternoon. By early evening we were watching a show on the Castle stage about making dreams come true. The princesses were there dancing with their princes. They played the music from the movies, released doves and it was such a great show. Afterward he took me over by the wishing well and asked me to marry him using a Mickey Mouse ring. Of course I said yes! It was so sweet and romantic.
It made the next day at Epcot even more special.
Thanks to everyone for their tips and info about Disney. I've been going there since the year it opened but moved away and it had been so long since my last trip. We haven't set a date but I suspect that will be the destination for our honeymoon!
