I just realized I got some of my days crossed up. I think I have it right now maybe. That's what I get for not writing these right away.

This morning we got up and decided to spend the day at Epcot. We really wanted to see what all was going on for the Food & Wine Festival. Mike didn't eat much for breakfast. I didn't know why and I didn't ask. As we walked in I made sure the World Showcase didn't open until 11:00 like it normally does. The very nice CM said yes that's right. I asked Mike where he wanted to go he said go left. Still didn't know what was going on. We were heading towards Mission Space. I was afraid to ask. Finally I said are you going to do it. He said yes I am going to try it. That's why he didn't eat much for breakfast. Mike has an inner ear problem and has trouble with spinning things. Well the girls and I anxiously awaited the verdict. Did he like it? Did he get sick? What did he think? I was so excited to finally be able to talk to him about it. Here he comes. He looks fine. Doesn't seem to be about to pass out or throw up. He says that was awesome. He really really liked it. So we head out and he says wait I need to sit down. It had hit him. He never got sick. He was just very disoriented for about 20-30 minutes. He would sit down for a minute, be fine then walk some more. He said that he thinks he may even try it again.

We went to the Kitchen Karnivale which was a neat little garden for the girls to explore. Lots of fun things there. They were even giving away fruit cups. Marlee Anne walked over to get her one and I followed behind her. She was very nice to sign thank you to the CM that gave her the fruit cup. He handed me one to me and then proceeded to walk over to Mike and the girls to give them one. It was bark over on the ground so the girls wheelchairs wouldn't go across. It was very nice of him to realize that and to take the time to go over and give them one. That was a small thing but huge to us.

We started walking around the World Showcase to see all the food stops. We stopped at the Chef demonstration. That was so cool to see them actually in person.

We got to Japan just in time for the character bus. We saw Mr. Smee and got pictures and autographs from him. We walked over to Robin Hood because we had never had a picture with him or his autograph that I could remember. As he was playing with the girls Minnie walked over. She was just the sweetest thing. Michala was all excited. Mary Elizabeth was still watching Robin Hood. Marlee Anne just wasn't too sure about it all. Baloo was next. He was just so sweet and loving. As we were about to leave we saw Goofy. A very nice girl asked if she could take our picture.

We got some crab cakes, honey lemonade and lobster chowder in USA. It was good. We sat on the wall in Japan while we ate.

Next we stopped in Italy. It's beginning to be our favorite stop in Epcot. We got there just in time to get a seat up front to see Masquerade. We had made a photo CD for them and wrote them a letter. We were so excited when the CM that we have become friends with came out. We gave her the letter and CD. The cast was very nice to wave and acknowledge the girls and let them know that they remembered them. After the show was over they all came over to see the girls. More pictures!!! One of the cast members gave each of the girls a red carnation. He tucked Mary Elizabeth's in her wheelchair strap. Michala started pulling the petals off of hers. When I said something to her about it the cast member put his hand out as if to tell me it was OK. There were petals everywhere. Marlee Anne just held hers. They have the most amazing way about them. As I said before they have a way of looking deep into your soul. We got a group picture before they went back in.

As we were leaving Italy the Imaginum, living statue was "performing". We walked over to watch a little while. It was the man that we have seen before. He does an amazing job. For those that don't know this is a person dressed in white with their face painted white. They look like a real statue. They are perfectly still until you get ready to take a picture. They will usually bend down, grab someone's hat, or just do something funny to them. It's very neat to see them act.

We decided to walk around some more. We stopped at a few more of the food stands to sample some of the food. As I was waiting on Mike to get some food for us a very nice CM came walking up to talk to us. She asked the girls if they were having a good time. I am always amazed and very touch when someone speaks to the girls even though it's obvious you are not going to get a vocal response from them. I have always said that is no reason not to speak to them. One day we are going to find out that Mary Elizabeth knows and understands way more than we ever realized. She is going to question why people overlooked her. You know actually she probably doesn't even care about something as petty as that. OK I will step down off my soap box and get on with our trip. The CM was so nice to go out of her way to do that. She was heading back over to the food stand at South Africa where she was working. We went there next to try some things she had recommended. Once again she spoke to the girls.

I wanted to take a picture of Mickey and Minnie with the festival sign up front so we headed up that way. After I got the picture Mike said he wanted to ride his favorite ride, Spaceship Earth. For some reason I always go to sleep on this ride. I really really enjoy it. Seriously I think it's a great ride. It's very relaxing. I don't know if it's the lull of the cars on the track or the speed or what. As we were walking up to the ride our CM friend came out of the gift shop and held Marlee Anne's hand as we walked up the hill. When we started to go inside she told Marlee Anne she had to go back to work. Marlee Anne didn't like that and just held her hand tighter. The CM was so excited that she did that. Back to Spaceship Earth. It's hard to get on the ride sometimes if it's just the five of us. Since it's a moving walkway we can't let Marlee Anne walk. Mike carried Mary Elizabeth and I carried Michala and Marlee Anne. It was quite a sight. When we got up there a very nice CM held Marlee Anne until I got in the car with Michala. I am constantly amazed at how the CMs are trained to pick up on things like that. He was there at the end when the ride was over offering to help again.

We walked over to Innoventions. I am not exactly sure why. I guess just to see if there was anything new. It was so neat though because we were able to make a video email to send home. It was lost of fun to do. The CM working there saw Michala's birthday pin and ask if she had received a phone call from anyone today. We told her no. She said well I think that you have a phone call could you come with me please. We followed her to the phone and Goofy started singing Happy Birthday to Michala over the phone. A very special treat!

We decided to head back over to Italy so we could see Masquerade's last performance for the night. On our way over we stopped to see the Imaginum performing. This time it was the lovely girl. We decided to go up for a picture. Marlee Anne wanting to give her flower to the girl. It was beautiful to see that red carnation up against her white clothing. She wanted to hold Marlee Anne but Marlee Anne wouldn't go for that. LOL!!!

We went on over to get a seat for Masquerade. It was much more crowded for this show. As the cast began to come out they each waved or blew kisses at the girls. After the show they came over to thank us for the CD and letter. It was amazing to see each of them sign or express their thanks without saying a word. They all hugged with those real hugs I always talk about. They gave each of the girls beautiful ceramic mask pins. Something that we will cherish forever. It was so hard to say good-bye to them knowing it would be awhile before we saw them again. This is before we had another trip planned. The greeter gave us her email address and asked us to stay in touch. It has been so nice to have that connection with them after we got back home.

As we were walking past the American Adventure concert hall (not what it's called I don't think) Three Dog Night was performing. Talk about wonderful! It was a beautiful night to sit there and listen to them. I walked across and got a cappuccino. It was the first time I had gotten a cappuccino at Disney World other than at Giradella at Downtown Disney. It was out of this world. Disney does it again!!! Sitting with the loves of my life, listening to Three Dog Night, and drinking a delicious cappuccino. What more could anyone ask for. I have been blessed! God is so good! Those special little reminders of that are oh so wonderful!

After the concert was over we took our time walking around the World Showcase. We decided not to stay for Illuminations so we headed towards the front. We decided to stop in and see our little CM friend that has been so special to us. We took pictures with her. She is just the sweetest thing.

We headed back to the room so we could pack up because sadly our stay at Old Key West was up. We had to check out the next day.

So, IF I get up my nerve & we're both @ the House of Mouse, Mike & I can both get sick together on Mission Space?

Glad to hear he survived it.

You don't know how much your reports have helped us get through this nasty virus we have been passing around to each other!

Looking for your next report.
blessings,
Judy
