Magical Oct 4, 2014 Southern Caribbean

Welcome Deb and Cork!! Makes me happy. :goodvibes Good times! :woohoo:

Hi Angie. We'll be having a mini Thieves reunion. hahaha.

For others that don't know, The Ship of Thieves....stealing the Magic cruised together in May 2008 doing the PC crossing. We have kept in touch with many of the Thieves and it seems that a lot of them will be doing this cruise. So there are many familiar faces. WOOHOO!!!!

Welcome aboard Deb .... So glad you and John will be joining us :)

Hi MJ.....can't wait to sail with you again. I'm so happy to be on this cruise too.

Everybody.....MJ is an honorary Thief. hahaha. We didn't sail with her on the original Thieves cruise, but we have sailed with her on many cruises since then.

Tina is also an honorary Thief. And I'm sure we'll be adding more names to the list from this cruise. hahahaha.

A big welcome to all newbies! Hi Deb! Champagne girls! Awesome! Please tell us more :goodvibes

This will be our 6th cruise. We have been busy planning our upcoming Oct. 2013 cruise on the Magic.

We haver only been on the Magic and the Dream. We consider the Magic "our ship". It just feels more like home to us. The Dream is beautiful and has awesome bedding but it just feels a little too big. We really got a workout delivering FE gifts lol.

I will admit I am more excited anout this cruise than our upcoming one. :thumbsup2

Hi Sinderelly, I'm posting a link to a thread all about the Champagne Girls including pics of many that have taken place that I didn't attend or organize. It has grown into it's own entity. Ladies, and some with men, are doing the Champagne Girls tastings on lots of cruises. Check out the CG thread and read all about it!!!

Hey everyone!

To answer this weeks question, I've only been on the Wonder so I have no comparison! We have sailed 3 times, once to the Bahamas on a 4 nt (combined with WDW) and then twice on the MR 7 nt cruises (combined once with DL and the other time with DL and Hawaii for a long trip).

We love the Wonder so we expect to be happy with the Magic. And we usually sail verandah rooms so the Walt suite will be so special! I'm excited to see what the drydock will offer:-)

Hi DisneyDiva.....I was thinking about having one, but we only have one sea day and everyone will be doing Palo. So I really don't think our itinerary is going to let that happen. I'm just not sure. What does everybody else think about it? Should we try to do something on our one sea day? I'm not sure how many people would be interested.

I know from experience your champagne tasting can be a highlight on any cruise. :goodvibes I do think with having only one sea day it will be hard to fit one in.:sad1:Palos, Spa, pool time is what I am looking at. Since DCL offers tastings ( sometimes in evening ) maybe that would be a better idea ? :confused3

Since the Magic is the sister ship to Wonder I am sure you will like it. Count me in on waiting to see what the drydock has to offer ! Does anyone know when the drydock is for the Magic ?

Second tour van is booked, and filled, for St. Lucia.

Sinderelly, Aquadame, DrHug and I(along with a non DIS couple), PJ and her mom, BoosGram are onboard!

Here is the email I got back regarding this tour:

Hi

Yes I will be available. The tour fee is US$65 per person.

We will be meeting at 8:20am and leaving at 8:30am. As soon as you get off the ship you walk into the building right in front of you, where i will be holding a sign "COSOL TOURS".
The tour is 5 - 6 hours. You only pay cash at the end of the tour. We will be stopping every 10 mins for your "wow" photo moments. Entrance fees to the waterfall, volcano and water taxi is included in the price.
We will be visiting the banana plantation where you will learn about its growth and taste them fishing villages (Anse La Raye and Canaries), also Marigot Bay where the movie Dr. Doolittle was filmed.
Then we will be stopping for breakfast where you can sample the local fish cakes, johnny cakes, coconut cakes, and a variety of local fruits from the Island. We will be having a mobile bar with rum punch, water, local beer and sodas. You will also get to sample locally made spice rum. All eats and drinks are complimentary.
Then we head down to Soufriere where you will have an overlook of the pitons. Then to the only drive-in volcano in the world, you will be getting an informative guide to show you around and give you a brief history of the place. At the volcano you can also do the take a dip mud bath and feel relaxed and rejuvenated.
From the volcano we will be going to the Toraille Waterfall there you can stand under the cascading water.
Then to the Jalousie Beach between the piton for swimming and snorkeling, where we will be taking the water taxi and you will enjoy unbelievable views of the coast. Please bring along your snorkeling gears. It is also available for rental.
On the way back to the north we will be stopping for the best local hot bread and cheese. Our last stop will be 5 mins. drive from Castries where you can do all your shopping for local souvenirs to take back home.
Bring along your camera an towels. Because of the small changing room at the beach you can wear your swimsuit under your garment to save time. If you have any more queries call me on my call 1(758)7196697 or visit my website at www.cosol-tours.com
Thanking you in advance as I await your confirmation reply.
Cancellation policy is 24 hours prior to tour.

COSOL TOURS

Thank you, this sounds like an awesome day!

Hi! We are interested in this tour as well. I've researched St. Lucia and this is everything we want to do! Should I contact them, or do we have another van going?

Would be myself, DH, DS13 & DD9.
:-)

Not sure if there is any room in Tina's van. If not, we may need to start a list of another 9-12 people and get a third person to head that up.

There are more people who are interested they just don't want to book it this far out. This company has several vans, I dont see a problem with getting another group van together. I am having a person from each group book a van so we don't end up on a bus. :) I wouldn't worry till we were only a couple of months before cruise. I am sure more people will want this tour as time goes on.:goodvibes

It is a long time away and I am sure there will be more interest in this tour.:thumbsup2

::yes:: Would be nice to book all there vans.;)

I cannot commit us to anything this far out. I'm sailing on the Oasis next month and then a double dip later this year and an Alaskan voyage next year.

I do enjoy the information and it was especially wonderful to day dream about the tropics when it was arctic here. :)

Can't wait to hear your opinion of Oasis.

So, if there is anyone else who will be the same kids club age as your daughter who could be 'a place holder' ...

We have only a vague idea how old she will be so it would be really hard to use a place holder. We think :scratchin we will get her info sometime between June and Aug, so at that time we will have here birthday and will add her. That will be over a year before we sail so I am hoping the ship isn't at capacity that far out. :crowded:

I think you can hold like child (insert last name) and that would hold her spot. I mean mostly a child between 3-13 is same price I would call Disney and hey a spot held myself. I have been on 2 cruises our friends couldn't get on because of kids.

I thought you could hold a child without much information as well. I also would call and explain and book a child then call later with correct information. Or call and book a fake child (your last name, random first name and random birthday in the 3-12 range). I would think they could note on your reservation that you are waiting on an adoption.

I would be nervous waiting. If the kids clubs fill up or your lifeboat stations you are out of luck:-(
