We ate the the Crystal Palace for my ds birthday. On our table was the little Micky head confetti. The little boy behind sitting next to the table asked his mom where we got the confetti from. The mom said it was for a birthday. I had my ds give the boy a handful of the confetti, he was so happy. My ds saw another child and asked if he could give him some too.

My ds traded pins with a cm in a suit, when my ds tried to give the cm his pin the cm said you can keep your pin Happy Birthday. My ds thought that was the coolest thing.

We were waiting for Fantasmic to start and my ds took out his glow sticks that I bought before we left home. There was a family behind us with 6 kids, my ds gave a glow stick to each on of them.

We ate at the Wispering Canyon, our waitress made my ds a headband made out of stickers(she was wonderful). My ds gave her an envelope with her tip in it and it had a Mickey sticker on it and I wrote you are #1 from the ----- Family. When my ds gave her the envelope she had tears in her eyes and she said it was the nicest thing anyone has done for her.

On the way to Magic Kingdom I started talking to a little girl because she had a Tinker Bell doll. I asked her if it was her first time seeing Tinker Bell, she said yes and I told her it was my first time too. When she got off the bus I knelt down and gave her my Tinker Bell pin (I had 2 of the same pins) and told it was very special because it was her first time seeing Tinker Bell and It was my first time seeing Tinker Bell. And everytime when she sees the pin she will remember time first time she saw Tink. She yelled to her dad "Daddy Daddy look at my special Tinker Bell pin". She put tears in my eyes.

Each day I made an envelope for our maid and I also got her a small gift. I put both into a christmas bag since we were there of the Christmas party. On our second day we went back to our hotel room when our maid was there. She said thank you so much for her presents and gave my ds 2 towel animals. I asked her if I could take a pic of her and my ds. They both were holding the animals in the pic.

We went to the Coral Reef with no ressie. We were able to right in. When the waitress sat us at our table she said congrats you have the table of the day. We had little duckies and fishes on our table and dolphins in our drinks. My ds gave a duck to the little boy at one of the other tables and the pink fish to a little girl at another table.

We bought the dining plan and on the last day I found out I had 2 table sevices 5 counter services and 8 snacks left on our plan and we needed to leave in 1 hour.(I dont know how that happened but I was NOT happy) I spoke to the manager and the only thing he could do was change to the table sevices to 3 snacks. So after arguing with the manager for a few min I told him I wasnt going to give Disney my money. I found 3 different families and bought them dinner. They were very happy.

This was our first trip to Disney and it was so magical for us because we got to make it magical for others.

This is such a wonderful post! Thank you for brightening other people's days. There's something to be said about "paying it forward".

Sounds like a memorable trip!!! And what a great DS you have, sharing the magic with the other children :)

Thank you so much for sharing (both with us on the board and at WDW). I truly think your families actions are what make the Disney experience and serve as a nice reminder for those of us going...Better to give than recieve... I'm looking forward to spreading the magic and teaching my son to do the same!

what comes around goes around...your're truly a wonderful person ....it will come back to you many times over i'm sure !!!!:flower3:

What a wonderful trip for your family! Kindness like that is a blessing these days. Thank you for inspiring me to some of the same on our first family trip in February!:cheer2:

Ah the little things! It's so true, the simplest things can be so touching. I often tell the story of the lady in the laundry at AKL that gave me the rest of her detergent - she had brought a large bottle along & was leaving the next day. It probably only saved me $1 - $2 but it was just a nice gesture. This trip (we returned last night) 2 CMs gave DS7 pins - he does pin trade but both of those times he didn't even have his lanyard on, so to him that was very special. A family also came up & gave us a small stuffed dinosaur from the carnival area of AK that their son (he was a teen) didn't want. I wish we would have thought ahead to do some little things for others. We will for sure next time. The closest we came to making someone happy was when we saw a guy in MK decked out in Nightmare Before Christmas garb - hat, backpack, clothing, socks, etc. He had a lanyard on with some pins, and I knew we had a NBXmas one we planned to trade. I whispered to DS7 that we were trading with that guy no matter what he had to trade back, even if it was nothing, because he would be so happy to have another NBXmas pin. The guy was thrilled, he didn't have the pin we had to trade. It made me happy knowing the guy walked away with a pin he really liked. Keep spreading the pixie dust everyone!

You definately take "paying it forward" to a new level. For your son to give so much to others has to make you a proud parent!

How awesome! In August, my boyfriend and I were at WDW for a week, and went to the Animal Kingdom for the first time. Expedition Everest was a must do for us, so we went and got fast passes for it since the line was huge. While we were waiting for our fast pass time, we did Kali River Rapids, and while in line we met a father and daughter from Boston, that we started talking to. They were really nice, and had been to AK before, so they filled us in on everything we needed to know.

After the ride was over, we said goodbye and we were off to EE. We loved it so much, we got another fastpass for much later in the day and then hopped back in line to go again. By around 2:30-3 p.m. that day, the fourth day of our vacation we started to get tired from all the walking and being in the sun. Yet we still had fast passes for 4 p.m. for EE. After discussing it my boyfriend and I decided we didn't want to wait around to use them because we were just too tired, so we would give them away.

Secretly I was hoping we would find that same father and daughter we met early in the day to give the FPs to..,,but we didn't. We did find the next best thing, and it was another father and daughter who were a little lost and asked us for directions to get over to EE, and so we gave them our FPs. I will never forget the smile on the girls face! In fact, her dad even asked us if we were really sure we wanted to do that...and my boyfriend said "Yes, now go have fun!" and off they went, and back to the resort we went for some much needed r&r!

Its so nice to hear of everyone really sharing the magic. OP - Your DS has such a giving heart.

We tried to share what we could while we were there too (mostly just tidbits we'd learned from the DIS that we thought would brighten someone's day.)

If everyone would use a little of that Disney magic in everyday life... it would be a much more peaceful world.

Happy Holidays everyone.

What a wonderful Pay it Forward!!

Have a Blessed and Magical New Year to you and your family!

What a great post! My husband and I were at Disney last June. We also had the DDP and got down to our last day and realized....we had 6 counter service meals left!! This was 7pm the night before we were leaving at 4am the next day for the airport to return to Ohio!

We went down to Artist Palette and scouted out families buying dinner. We bought the first family all 4 of their meals. We then waited for others and finally a group of 3 walked up (mom/dad/small child) and we told them our dilemma and bought 2 of their meals also! We did have a manager watching us closely and I explained to her that we too were "spreading some magic...since it was going to expire long after we were gone anyhow..." She smiled and said it was a great idea! It was the perfect ending to a fantastic Disney World trip.

remember to always play it forward...
Esmerelda :)
