OK, if you don't buy the "cite your source" argument, how about this.
It's considered bad form and a leech of bandwidth to link to someone else's site without permission.

I saw these last week at WDW. They are nothing great. For $15 each, they are plastic, way too big, and garish. I wasn't interested.

The bandwith problem is a real and legitimate issue. We had to restrict our clip-art use because of it. Also, by copying images from other sites, as innocent as it may seem, reduces the amount of hits that the parent site gets directly, which may affect any advertising revenue they receive that's based on visitor counts.
