Magical Gatherings

Has anyone celebrated at Disney as part of the Grand Gathering celebration. Would appreciate any input as eight of us are going next month and didn't know if there was something I shouldn't miss. Thanks for any help.

I'm glad someone asked this....we go at Christmas as a group of 8, and I thought about Magical Gatherings. But we're staying concierge this time, and I've heard that there's some kinks with Magical Gatherings, so I figured I'd just use the concierge. Do you have any problems?

More specifically - we did a daytime cruise to celebrate a special event last time from the Yacht Club. I ordered food and champagne and everyone LOVED it. We want to a fireworks cruise this time. Is the one you get through Magical Gatherings (I hear it's with Peter and all) really different?

I know that's a long series of questions. Sorry. And if you haven't taken a regular cruise, you might not be able to answer...anyone???

Thanks for the thread! It was great. The cruise sounds phenomenal...especially since I have two small nephews who WORSHIP Peter Pan!

Cheaper than the private cruise too...and people didn't seem to have too many problems.

Only problem I have is we've lost two adults...and now we only have 7 adults and one 2 (almost 3) year old. Shoot. Maybe I can convince some other family members to join in. Or we'll wait till next time when the boys are older...if they still have Magical Gatherings.

Happy to help! Maybe you can find a few DIS'ers on the Boards here who would like to do the Magical Fireworks cruise, but don't have enough people either! You don't have to be blood relatives, I don't think! We are going with 5 families, only two of which are related by birth!

And it looks like you have plenty of time to either drag along more people of your own, or meet some here!

Yep, I have of plenty of time...I become a little Disney obsessed planning these trips. That's why I love these boards...kindred souls! I've become the planner in our family, and they all seem to love it, so now I have to outdo myself everytime!

I have an aunt and uncle, stepsister and kids, and sister's in-laws still considering...but if that doesn't work, asking on the boards is a great idea!

By the way, I love Tink too. I think she's my favorite.
