We're going to WDW in Oct. 2006 and there are enough of us to qualify as a magical gathering. I've seen that WDW has people who do nothing but organize groups such as ours (making reservations, etc..) We were thinking of booking through AAA because they get discounts on the rooms so it's a little cheaper then booking directly through Disney. My question is that if we book through AAA do we still get all the benefits of a magical gathering planner or do we have to book through Disney,

One more question, has anyone ever gone with a large group and stayed at different resorts? We're already arguing because everyone wants to stay somewhere different.

Thanks for all your help. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

You can book through any TA and you can stay at different resorts. When you have everything underway you will need everyone's names, ages, dates of arrival, resort info. etc. etc. etc. Call 1-407-WDW-PLAN and they will set you up with a magical gatherings number. The number will be needed is you plan on doing any magical gatherings events or making group dining arrangements for parties of 12 or more.

I am setting up a grand gathering for November 2005. We are staying at different resorts. Just have your TA add the grand gathering number to your reservation (she will have to ask for it; they don't automatically give it). Make sure your AAA agent knows Disney. Quite a few of them don't know a things about Disney. You can get the room discount through CRO as a AAA member and add tickets and such. you may want to use a disney specialist as your ta with a grand gathering...
