Magical Express

Does anyone know how often the Magical Express service leaves from and to the airport? Is it a bus?

There is more than one bus running from the airport to the resorts. They run, I'd say, every half an hour or so. From the resorts TO the airport, you'll get a notification on your door at your resort telling you what time to catch the express. It IS a bus, but a NICE bus with comfy seats and tv's that are running Disney promo films. Really makes the ride nice and seem so much shorter. We loved it.

After you exit the plane you must get in line at the ME counter. This took 1/2 hour for me. Once we were checked in we then stood in a ME bus line, loaded our bus, waited another 1/2 hour to leave as they loaded other families. Our bus stopped at 3 other resorts prior to ours, which landed us almost 3 hours after landing at our hotel.

Keep an eye on your luggage, b/c our ME driver gave our luggage to another family on the return trip from the hotel to the airport. We are still missing 1 peice of our luggage! This was the most unmagical experience for us at Disney!

Next time we will take a Town Car! It is worth the $$!

Sorry you had such a bad experience. Our drivers have routinely just pulled the bags out and put them on the pavement, allowing people to pick up their own bags. I must be lucky since I've used DME twice now and never waited at the counter to check in more than 10 minutes. Then once I got to the bus lines...the first time was a 5 min wait, second time a 10 min wait. The first time we were on the bus within 20 mins of landing. Then waited about 10 mins for the bus to fill, made one stop before our resort. Whole thing took one hour total, from landing. Second time we waited about 15 mins on the bus, then directly to our resort. That time is was only about 45 mins from landing. Here's hoping the trend continues for me in late Nov!!!

I used Magical Express last week, and I was very pleased. I got off the plane and proceeded to the ME desk, and saw that the line was very long, however, it moved very quickly, and I was on line to go to Coronado Springs in about 10 minutes. Once on line for the resort, I waited less than 5 minutes and I was on the bus. I did have to wait about 15 minutes once on the bus for the bus to fill up. Once we left, we only made one stop at POP and then on to CSR. All in all, it took about 1 hour from the time I got on line at ME to the time I got to the resort.

Coming home, I did get notification the day before I left of my departure time. It seemed at CSR that there was a ME bus that departed the resort for the airport every 30 minutes.

I liked the service so much, I would pay to use it next time if I had to!!

No need to. As long as the flight numbers remain the same you will be all set!
