Magical Express

The day we leave to come home from our December trip, my oldest son and his fiance' will be flying back that afternoon. We'll leave the Fort around 9:00am and they will go to MK for a few hours and then the plan was for them to board the Magical Express bus in time to make their 2:40pm flight home. They had planned to leave MK around noon.

What's the procedure for using Magical Express to the airport after being a guest at the Fort? Do they need to leave MK and return to the Fort? I assume we need to discuss this with the front desk people at the Fort. But I was just trying to get an idea of what to expect before we get there. Trying to eliminate any unwanted surprises.

My daughter usually comes with me and flies home earlier. Magical Express usually picks her up 3 hours before her flight time at whatever hotel we stay at. When you sign up for ME you give your resort as your pickup location as well as your airline and flight time and number.

We've actually changed the pickup location one morning to another hotel as I was checking out and checking in somewhere else. But she was not going to a park and just had a small carry on so no luggage transfers or anything to complicate it.

I don't think they'll get to stay at MK until noon. They could possibly ask for pickup at the Contemporary Resort and walk over there from MK.

Magical Express works well. I've been at the fort staying in a cabin and had a guest staying with me who used it there. Same procedure as any other resort pretty much.

The pick up time for the ME is about 3 hours before the flight time and you must be at the pick up spot 15 minutes prior to the time they give you. And they will be picked up at the fort near the check in building. With a 2:40 flight, they will probably have to be ready to get on the bus around 11:30 so they really don't have time to go to MK. They would want to allow plenty of time to return to the Fort to make the pick up time. If you take the boat to and from the MK that puts you at the opposite end of the fort where you need to be for ME.

Biggest thing is they can't miss that flight. As of now, its the last non-stop to RDU and if they miss it, we'll be half way through Ga. by then.
