Thanks for the info. I guess I will reconfigure our packing and use a carry-on suitcase with some essentials in it.

I guess if you are not in your room, they put it in there?

It is such a nice feature to not have to worry about luggage. I always pack that carryon with what I'm going to need. I didn't, just one time, and I paid for that mistake. We were supposed to fly into Providence RI but got diverted to Philly. At that point we had two choices since they weren't going back to Providence.....get off the plane, stay there for the night and get a flight out in the morning, but no luggage was leaving the plane. OR...stay with the plane and go back to Ft Lauderdale, stay overnight and get a flight out in the morning, but you would have your bags with you.
Because I had no packed carryon with me (after all....I was heading home, what could happen!!??), we had to stay with the plane, fly back to Ft. Lauderdale, find a room and then rebook our flight. And it was NYE to boot.
Now...I always pack that bag.
