Just wondering if this goes smoothly getting your bags to the resort? We are leaving on Tuesday and staying at the Poly  , has anyone had any problems?

We used it in July and we didn't have any problems. It was the easiest part of our travel. We packed essentials in our carry-ons just in case there was a problem. We're using it again in April and I'm not worried at all.

Have a great trip.

Used it twice now with no problem.

I think ME was Disney's greatest invention yet!! I loved it!! Can't wait to use it again this Friday!!! Woohooo! :cool1:

Another strong YES vote in favor of DME and its luggage service. And we used it on only the 4th day it was in existence, when there supposedly were still bugs to be worked out. No bugs. No kinks. Just luggage magically appearing in our room about 3.5 hours after we landed.

For years, anytime I have flown anywhere I've always packed in my carry-on supplies for the first 24 hours of my vacation just in case the AIRLINE delays my luggage. Always safe to do. And you'd be surprised how LITTLE space is taken up by a change of clothes, PJs, medications, toiletries, etc., especially when dressing for a warmer climate.

i have heard conflicting information about how this works. who claims the luggage and baggage claim? i have heard that i am supposed to claim my bags and take them to a ME desk. i have also heard that ME claims them for me and i am to present just myself to ME. anyone know?

We're leaving for the Poly on Tuesday also! I can't believe I only have two days left to wait!

My niece and I used it and had no problems at all, it's a great service.

We used in December with no problems what so ever and loved the convenience. We got to the airport, registered at the desk and our bags were at our room when we came back from the park. On our way home I have to suggest once your bags are taken off the bus to sky-cap your luggage. We sky-caped for Southwest and we didn't have to wait at all. The sky-cap gentlemen was so cool to us. He took all our luggage and checked us in. The line to do it ourselves was sooooo long. From the bus to the security line we may of spent 15 minutes. Now waiting in the security line was another story, :rolleyes1 it was easily 45 minutes. Then again it was Christmas time.
On our girls trip I will not be using the magical express. I will only have one bag for the few days. Its is perfect thought when you have a family and multiply bags.

If you are worried that your bags wont arrive, you can pick them up at the baggage check and bring them to the ME check in yourself. However, the bonus of using ME is that you don't need to do this. When you receive your ME package in the mail it will include bag tags that you attach to your luggage. These tags alert the handlers that they are ME bags and they'll be pulled by Disney and brought to your hotel. When you check in at the ME desk they will get all the info from you that they need. It takes a few hours (3 - 4 hours most say) but your bags will arrive in your room some time that day. When we used the service in September we arrived early afternoon, got to the hotel, checked in and changed, then headed to MK. When we got back to our room that night our bags were waiting for us in our room.

The only instance in which you must claim your own bags is if you are on international flight and you must clear customs. If you are on a domestic flight just put your Magical Express luggage tags on all of your bags and they will be devivered directly to you room.
