We are doing a split stay this September, 2 nights at ASMo + 2 nights at SSR.

We used Orbitz to reserve the ASMo room and on the reservation page it said we could reserve DME on the Disney website, but the website says that we need to reserve DME at the same time we make the room reservation. What do i do?

For the return trip to MCO, do I need to contact the DVC member that we rented points from and have him make the DME reservation?

Thanks!

I never know my flight info when I make my resort reservations and have never had an issue with DME.
You will need to make 2 one way reservations one for each leg of the stay - its easy to do online via the link
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/airport-transportation-reservation/
or you can just give them a call.

Make sure you have your Disney resort reservation # (may be different from the orbitz reservation #) and your arrival departure info handy.

Unfortunately I am not sure about DVC - I guess if you have the reservation number you can try using that - otherwise give your flight info to the person your renting from.

You should contact the DVC owner to make your DME reservation for your return trip. (Yes, people will tell you that you don't have to, that you can do it yourself, blah blah blah). DVC member dues pay for transportation. When you bypass the member, you mess up the accounting.

For the arrival DME to ASMo, you can contact DME by calling:

U.S. and Canada Reservations: (407) 939-1936

United Kingdom Reservations: 0800 16 90 730

Weirdly, I clicked on the link and was taken to a VigLink shopping site. Tried again and the same thing happened.

This happens to me with all links posted on this forum. I always have to copy/paste.

Hmm, works fine here in Firefox. Try a copy / paste of the URL to a new web browser tab.

Using Chrome. Tried copy/paste, but same result.

That worked. Thanks.

I've never had that happen before. Strange.

FYI if you click on the “go.com” banner button in the viglink page it takes you to the dme page.

This takes me to the Vigilink, too. And oddly even, if I cut and paste the USA link then that one goes to Vigilink, too. :(

I can't understand why the link is getting redirected to Vigilink and why it then goes to Disney when you hit the go.com button. This is just plain wrong and feels like a virus.

I don’t know why either, but it seems to come in waves.

Not sure who would have the virus. Or how.

I think it’s just something with the disboards advertisement system every so often where it does that. If we click through it to, say, wayfair and buy something I assume dis would get something for it.

I googled Vigilink and it came up as a possible virus. I deleted all of my history on Chrome and then ran Malwarebytes, which didn’t find any problems with my computer.

Whenever you are redirected to another site it is a giant red flag that you could be infected with virus. I have seen some very nasty ones that were hard to get rid of. A redirect is never okay.
