Magical Express with a late flight

Has anyone used Magical Express when your flight comes in around 11pm? Do they make you wait until there is a bus full? Just wondering

I was reading a trip report a few weeks back and there's a picture posted of just one family on the Magical Express. So I would assume if they aren't waiting for multiple flights, they'd go with just you.

In January my plane came in at 10:20pm and I got to them a little later because I had to get my luggage first. I got right on the bus, which had VERY few people on it and was taken directly to Boardwalk.

In March, with dd, my plane got in at 3:20pm and we waited about 40 minutes.

Just remember that you do need to get your bags now if you come in that late. Delivery service stops at 10pm I believe.

When we went in September our flight landed around 10:30. We had to get our luggage and make our way to the ME. There was another family right behind us, but that was it. We loaded and took off. No waiting at all.
There were about 5 busses sitting there waiting as it was, so I don't think they were concerned with filling the bus.

We got in at 10:30 pm to an empty airport, and the ME CMs were really welcoming. It was a great way to start our trip. There were only 7 people on the bus - and we were 4 of the 7!

Has anyone sent their DH to get the luggage while they took the kids to check in for ME? Would the bus leave without him if he wasn't there with us?

Thank you for all the replies. It really helps. We are not checking any bags so getting luggage won't be a problem. It is just a quick weekend trip for my DH & I after a very long tax season for me. Computers & Caffiene have been my life for the past 16 weeks and I need a Disney break!!

You should not board until everyone in your party who got off that plane has gotten to the welcoming area. BUt if you did get on the bus and the bus left, then DH could take the next bus.

Thank you seashoreCM. ME is new to us so we are just trying to figure out the best way to do things. It will be getting late into evening by the time we hit MCO and way past bedtime when we get to the hotel so I am just trying to figure out how to expedite the process once we land since the kids will probably be tired and cranky.

There is a large sitting area by the ME check-in point. If your DH can handle the luggage on his own, then you could head that direction & let the kids lay on the couches for a bit. However, chances are they will be too wired after sitting on the plane & the excitement of the airplane to rest anyways.

I have to say my one really bad experience with M.E. was when the flight arrived at 11pm. We got right onto the bus, but they did wait until it was pretty full before heading out to the resorts. And our resort ended up being the 4th and last stop. We were not at the resort check in desk until 1am. I honestly don't think I would use ME again after a late night flight. I would either get a cab or use a car service.
