Magical Express VS Limo

DH and I are coming to WDW in August... YAY!!! I thought I might surprise him with something special. We have always taken the magical express to our resort and we've never had any problems or issues. It's worked out great. That being said, we usually wind up sitting on the bus for about a half hour to 45 min or for its departure time. I'm NOT complaining, I totally get it... But... I was thinking that it might be nice to just get into a limo or town car and go! I'm kinda torn. One one hand there is the advantage of not having to wait on the bus, after flying all day... And seeing DH's face when we get there and there's a car waiting for us! But on the other hand there is something kinda exciting about the magical express. Am I crazy? So I was wondering if there is any particular advantage to taking ME? We always pick up our own luggage (I'm too neurotic to enjoy my vacation unless I KNOW I have my things with me!), so that's not really an advantage for us. Other than $, is there any other reason it would be preferable to take ME? Do they get into the WDW resort area easier and quicker...anything like that? Thanks so much for your help!

Last 2 trips would could have taken ME but always rent a car. We like having the option of driving (we usually do) to the parks, going to a grocery store, etc. Given the overall cost of the trip the price of the car is peanuts.

take the bus and use the limo money to take your DH to dinner

Limo advantages are grocery stop if you need supplies and a guaranteed trip directly to your hotel rather than various other folks' hotels before yours. In general, since you're going to pick up your luggage no matter what, I think the limo would be faster. I too love the idea of having one waiting for me!

Was in Disney in December and surprised family with a limo to resort rather than magical express. They loved it!! It was a nice change from being crowded on the bus and waiting at all the resorts to unload. Had great service and wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

To me, the only negative to a limo/towncar is the cost. OK, you won't see the video they play on the bus (if the player is working), but that's not a factor to me.
