I'm looking forward to feedback on this. To me, it seems as if it will be a gigantic headache for WDW, but if they're willing to tackle it, I'll take advantage of it, if it works.

I'm quite curious, too. I've had both good (cruises) and terrible (Las Vegas tours) experiences with this kind of service - I hope Disney goes in the "Good" direction.
Also, we always rent, so DME will mean shorter rental lines, less traffic on WDW roads and emptier parking lots for us!
Personally, anything with Mears attached means we quickly run the other way. We have never had good service with them and have not used them for the past 4 or 5 years because of it. Maybe their service has improved, but I can't waste my time trying to find out. Even if Disney has their name attached to the service, it's still under Mears. Disney used to book guests on Mears when you bought a package and it didn't seem to bother Disney that the service stunk then too.
With a towncar, you come down the escalator, the driver is waiting, carries your bags, and has you to the hotel in 1/2 hour. Now, I'm sure there have been instances of poor towncar service too, but we haven't experienced one. For the last couple of years we rent a car through National's Emerald Aisle and avoid all hassles.
Those that use the ME service, please let us know good, bad or otherwise how things work out.
