Magical Express to AKL?

Has anyone taken the ME to the AKL lately? I was wondereing if they stop off at other resorts or since the Lodge is isolated do they go straight to it?? ANYONE??

AKL may be somewhat isolated but a bus going from MCO to AKL has to go right by POP, CSR and the All-Stars. Other resorts like CBR and even the EPCOT resorts aren't that far out of the way. You can do a search if you want to see some of the stops that were reported.

Based on the location of AKL I would expect it to be the last stop most of the time.

While it was my understanding that buses would be routed to certain resort areas that geographically made sense, our experience suggests that "supply and demand" may be overiding that original plan.

We arrived last Wednesday afternoon and were put on a bus with a couple other families. One family was with us at POFQ, but the other was at the Polynesian Resort, not exactly next door neighbors to POFQ.. There were several other roped off lanes at the DME area of the airport and maybe about 50 other people awaiting their buses. By putting us on the bus with folks from Poly it occurred to me that they were simply using the "moving em in" and "movin em out" mentality when things weren't busy.

This being said, God only knows who'll be on the bus with you!

Some of us think the color coded groups of resorts that was posted may have been just for the luggage.

All indications are the resorts are grouped "on the fly" based number of guests for the different resorts. Most guests would rather spend an extra 5 minutes on the bus over waiting at MCO an extra 20 minutes to fill up a bus for their resort. A bus from POFQ can go the back way up Bonnet Creek to Vista Drive to get to the MK resorts. Probably not much longer than any other routing.
