We landed at MCO at 10:55 am. We found a cm who directed us to the Magical Express check-in desk. They stamped my voucher that I got in the mail, and directed us to the bus for our resort. We were on the bus and on our way by 11:18. We arrived at our resort and had checked-in by 12:15. I think that is pretty good. Our luggage was in our room by the time we got back from eating and going to Downtown Disney. I think we got back to the room around 8:00, but I can't remember exactly.

For our departure: We got a letter under our door the day before we left telling us that we could participate in the airport check-in at the resort (meaning we could check our luggage there and get our boarding passes), and what time the bus would pick us up. We had to be out front at 1:05 and our flight was leaving at 3:55. That may seem long to some but we didn't feel rushed at all, and we were able to grab something to eat before we had to be at the gate.

All in all I was happy with DME :earsgirl:

Early is better than late. Thanks for your input.

Is it safe to assume that we could allow Disney to take our bags to our rooms if we are renting a car? We will be at VWL and the deal for an SUV is good enough to take. We like having a vehicle available to us during our stay. We had other transportation (FL Tours) when we checked our bags with Dis back in April. I would think this would be the same situation. They take the bags and we get ourselves to the resort. Am I correct?

Thanks in advance for your help!

No you have to ride the bus in order for them to take your luggage. Since you are renting a car you will have to take your own luggage to the resort. You could always have a member of your party ride the bus and then your luggage will be delivered to the resort.

I don't think my wife and son would mind riding the bus while I drive the car and get checked in. We'll have to see. I really don't want to handle my luggage if they will do it for me.

Good Idea, or you could just ride the ME, and rent a car at the Car Care Center. Since you will not have to pay airport taxes, you will pay much less for your rental. My reservation was reduced by $100.00. :cool1:

I just learned this today...Check out this thread.
