Magical Express questions

I just called to give Disney my flight info so I could use magical express. The gentleman only ask for the airline and flight #, no times etc and then told me that we would be respobsible for picking up our luggage, I asked if that meant we went to baggage claim and picked it up then to the disney bus and he said yet because SW was not a participating airline.

I thought that only mattered on the departure flight, has something changed or was he just mistaken.

He was sadly mistaken. The incoming flight does not matter as long as you put on the yellow tags. Also sometime soon SWA will be a participating airline and then you can use the resort check in too.
Also they only want the airline and flight number because flight times will and do change. And if they do DME will know and adjust.

The CM was badly mistaken. YOU are absolutely correct that when you arrive at MCO, it doesn't matter what airline took you there, you will get automatic luggage delivery to your resort as long as your DME tags are on your checked luggage.

And even the best, most conscientious CM wouldn't need your flight times, because the computer has access to a database of flight numbers and their corresponding times.

It sure stinks when Disney CMs give incorrect information.

By the way, on a different site I saw an ad for an "e-book" that promises to be able to save customers hundreds if not thousands of dollars on a WDW vacation, and has a money-back guarantee. Before forking over my $19.99, I wanted to find out the nature of this guarantee, and as I looked through their advertising materials more, I saw that they had ALL WRONG info on DME. I sent them an e-mail. The author wrote back apologizing and blaming it all on a copywriter he paid to write all the advertising copy. Now, I'm a writer myself, and I just can't trust a writer who pays someone else to write for him. As a way of apologizing, he sent me the link to this e-book FOR FREE. I figured, "Wow, what a nice gesture." So I went to the section on DME. Bad author blamed the ad copy guy, huh? The body of the e-book had the same COMPLETELY WRONG info on DME. I never bothered reading the other parts of the book he gave me for free. It was worth what I paid for it.
