Magical Express Question

We were supposed to head down to WDW today but our flight got cancelled. My mom and I are booked tomorrow on separate flights. We are currently trying to get her on the flight that I am scheduled on but we are on hold with the airline.

If we reschedule with the Magical Express for the flight that she is actually on but can later get moved to my flight, is the arrival time at MCO actually important? If she is able to get on my flight, she would arrive at MCO two hours later.

No, it does not matter when she or you arrives. They run 24/7 so you can go at any time. Even if you did not have a reservation, if you went up to the podium, they would get you on a bus. Don't stress about it.

DME uses the information you provide to schedule their bus service. If late at night, probably more of an issue when fewer people are arriving. If during the day and only +/- 2 hrs of what you originally scheduled, I don't think it would be a problem. Flights can also be delayed for weather or maintenance issues, so it isn't like you are going to lose your reservation if you don't up exactly as scheduled.

Not a problem, upon arriving at the airport just head to the DME welcome center at the transportation level and they will get you on the next available bus.
