Magical Express Question

We have used ME every trip we've made to WDW.Last trip we called to pay our luggage charge on our return trip from our resort with the number that was sent to our room,like always and to check our luggage and get boarding passes from the resort lobby.And we were not able to do it (after we had already paid for everyones checked luggage the day before) because of a message from MCO telling the people that weigh your luggage and do the boarding passes at our resort lobby that none could be done for anyone flying after a certain time that day and we'd have to stand in line at the airport to do it.We had all our conformation numbers showing we had paid but,the airlines said it was a 3rd party problem and we'd have to get our money back from them and yes,we had to paid everyones luggage again at MCO.Since we were traveling with several people and children in our party,paying all that money again wasn't easy,but we did.We had to call and try and get our money back and we finally did,but it was a pain and took forever.Has anyone else had this problem? We are planning a trip with again several adults and children and just wondering if we should just skip doing all the luggage fees and boarding passes at the resort and go to MCO and wait in line to do it.That was the only time that had happened and all the other times it went very smooth.Makes we wonder what to do and if anyone else had that problem?
 
i don't see how this is a magical express question.

it also does not seem to have been a disney problem in general.

it seems like it was a problem with MCO and/or your airline.

if you feel more comfortable paying luggage fees at the airport due to this problem then thats what i'd do.
 
Never had that before. Then again, the only time I have checked baggage I have been in JetBlue with no luggage fee.

But that is not a Magical Express issue but a Resort Airline Check-In issue. RAC is different to DME.
 
Just sharing an experience - last trip, I tried calling the BAGS number the day before departure to pay my checked bag fee but couldn't get through to them on the phone. In the morning, I just took my bag to the RAC desk and paid there, no problem.

Next time, you might try that - don't call the BAGS #, just see if the RAC desk will take them when you leave. Worst case scenario, they say no, you have to lug your bags to the airport, but I'd ask them before I just automatically did that.
 

I think the issue may have been that you have to get your bags to the Magical Express people by 1:00pm or something like that (even if you're flying that evening). I learned that from my friend last trip (we were flying home on the last flight of the night, so I didn't bring my bags out to them and she did - I ended up having to bring my bags on the bus and check them in myself. She knew it had to be done early so had done it when we had checked out of our rooms).

The past two trips we just paid our luggage fees at the RAC desk. We haven't called the BAGS number in a long time.
