Magical Express Question....

We have a ressie in February for 4 people and we would like to use Magical Express but 2 of the people are actually going somewhere else for the day straight from MCO (renting a car) and the other 2 of us will take ME to OKW. All 4 of us will be taking the bus back to MCO at the end of the trip. My question is how do I do this when making our ME ressie? Is there a way to book only 2 of us down and 4 on the way back or do I just make it for all 4 of us both ways and the other 2 people just don't use it? Thanks so much

When you make your ME reservation let them know that only 2 will be going to the resort but 4 will be going back to the airport.
Then when you get to the ME counter to check in, make sure that they have the correct info for the return trip.
Once you get your confirmation for your trip back to the airport (an envelope is put on your door a day or so before your departure) make sure everyone is included. If someone has been omitted, go to the concierge desk to get it taken care of. Everyone will need a voucher to get on the bus back to the airport.

If it were me, I would try to keep it as simple as possible. I would just make the reservation for everyone. When you get to the DME counter, you could let them know that the others on the reservation won't be checking in for the bus, but will be riding the bus back to MCO.
I would just be afraid that they (DME) would mess it up somehow if you tell them '2 now, 4 later'.

That's what I was afraid of. We have taken the ME many times but I have never been in this situation. I was originally going to make both reservations for 4 but I was afraid it would somehow screw up ME if 2 didn't end up getting on with us when we arrive. Like they would have 2 seats set aside that won't actually be used on the way there.

I agree, it is much easier to make it for 4.

I've done this several times when I'm driving down with the camping gear and family is flying in. Just book DME for everyone, then as the folks arrive, they confirm their return with the desk at MCO.
