Magical express question???

I have a question with how Magical express works. We are traveling in at night with 5 people. DH, mself, DD12,DD11,DS9. We are booking a Studio in SSr for one night before we check into our 2 bedroom the next day. WE WILL NOT HAVE THE 5 OF US IN THE STUDIO. My DS will be staying in The all start with his grandparents who will already be there, but DS is traveling in with us. So he will be put on their reservation, with his flight information for magical espress. How will magical express work? Can he get on the bus with us and travel with us, untill we meet up with his grandparents or will he be booked onto a different bus and have to go right to The all star? I know it sound confusing, I am really confused! Thank you if you can help.

If he is staying at the All Stars with his grandparents, why not have him take the bus there? His grandparents could meet him. Sorry, I'm not sure how it would work if you want him to go to SSR (not sure why you would).

I do not want him to take a seperate bus to the all star because he is 8 and can not travel alone. If we are on one bus then he can get off and meet his grandparents. However my mother in law said there is a chance they might have 2 different busses becasue they are in 2 different areas of the property.

We are traveling in as a family of 5. My in laws will already be there a few days before us. So If his voucher is for All star and ours are for SSR, if they want him on a different bus it will be a problem! He is only 8. That is why we wanted him to stay with us until we Know for sure he is with hs grandparents.

I think that one of the adults should go with him to the All Stars. I think they allow 4 in a room, so one of his parents could get on that reservation, arrange for ME together, you deposit him with his grandparents, and then get to SSR.

I know that if you arrange ME through Member Services, they will not allow the ME booking for 5 in a studio. You might want to give ME a call and ask them what to do?/COLOR]

I know we can not book 5 for magical express for SSR for the studio. That is why my son is being booked with his grandparents in all star. That is also why I am nervous about the transportation.

Isnt there an extra adult fee if we book a 3rd adult to a room?

Is there any cash discounts for DVC memebers at the resorts? Maybe it would be easier to book The all star so we can all be in one hotel and travel to SSR the next day? I am so confused.

Please know we understand the occupancy limits and there will be 4 of us in one room and my son will be in the room with his grandparents making that 3 in their room. I am just trying to figure out the best way to do it so DS does not have to travel alone on ME. Is there a phone number to call them directly?

OK I just called Magical Espress. They said his luggage tags and voucher will say all star. However when we get to teh check in for ME in the airport, to tell them that DS is traveling with us to SSR BUT will be meeting up with his grandparents who will then take him to The all star and they will print us up a voucher to travel to ssr.

NOW a totally different question. If we are coming in on a late flight arriving at 10pm. How will our luggage work? If we are in the studio alseep how will they deliver luggage? Can we garb our own luggage off the turn table and bring it with us? I do not want someone coming into our room at 1am while we are asleep.
Could they hold in till the next day when we check into our 2 bedroom?

Just got back and used ME to SSR. Unfortunately, they divide people into busses based on the resort they are going to. SSR normally is with OKW and sometimes PO and Riverside. It would be highly unlikely that the Pop resorts would ever share a bus going to SSR. But you could maybe schedule yourself to go to the Pop resort with your son and then take a regular resort bus over to DD and then meet up with you family at SSR. You might also see if your parents might like to move over to SSR. Right now they have some great AP rates for SSR. When we went a studio cost about the same as a moderate with the AP discount.

About the your bags. I don't think you will have access to the checked luggage. They shouldn't end up on the turn table at all. They are to go straight to ME's location. I guess you could ask bell service to only bring them up to a certain time at night.

You got the right answer from Magical Express. There is no way they would make your son travel alone. They would either allow one adult to ride with him... or allow him to ride with the 4 of you.

Regarding your luggage... we also arrive late (hard not to from the west coast unless you take a red eye). They will not just come into your room (especially if you lock the door ). Tell them that you want your luggage delivered the next day to the 2BR unit and you will be fine. You can bring a small carry-on with a change of clothes for day 2.

That's good to hear he won't have to travel alone. I just assumed (yeah, I shouldn't do that) the 12 year old would be the one going with the grandparents because he is the oldest and may be able to travel alone.

We are arriving at 11:40 pm and knew that they would not deliver luggage that late. Since we need it early, MS told me just to NOT put the ME luggage tags on the luggage when we get to the airport. That way, we will get our own luggage and take it with us to the hotel that night as we arrive.

We are still set up with ME to ride the bus.

So my game plan is to have us all ride the bus together. Since it will be late. DH will take the boat over to PleasureIslad/market place and meet up with the in laws to make the swap. I will have our luggage held at bell service till we switch to the 2 bdr. and bring a small carry on for a change of clothes.

We have the 8 yr old going to grandmas because the 2 older are the girls and they can share a bed. DS 8, would not want to sleep with his sisters!
