Hi Dis'ers,

I booked the Magical Express to take us from MCO to Saratoga Springs on New Years day. I just received my luggage tags, but.....UT OH! They sent me two completely different sets. Do I just throw one away? Do I call them and ask which ones to use? Any suggestions?

Thanks! 30 days and counting! :woohoo:

Haven't use ME myself, but could one set be for departure and one for arrival???

No, there are no tags for departure. Do you have tags for everryone in your group? Disney uses the tags, so they know which suitcases are going to their resorts, and they pull all of those, and put them on trucks. They sort all the SSR tags on one truck, all BW tags on another truck, etc. Once at the resort, bell services delivers them to the rooms, so it's important to make sure that the info is correct on the tags. If your name and resort are correct, then you can use either set of tags. But when you depart the resort you will have to remove the yellow tags, or else at the airport they will be rerouted back to Disney!

Based on our experience (just got back last night), ME sends enough yellow tags for two pieces of checked luggage per person on the reservation. We only had one piece of checked each, so I just threw the extras away.

Strongly agree with Cruella - take off the yellow tags and any other airline tags before you depart for home. Otherwise, you may not see your luggage for a long time!

Carol and Cruella are correct.

as long as your reservation number and resort name are correct, then use those tags and discard any extras. SImple as that. If you have 2 people associated with your reservation number, then you should have received 4 tags. They send 2 per person because most airlines allow 2 checked pieces of luggage per person, and they figure you won't need more tags than bags that your airline allows.

People who stay at 2 different WDW resorts during one stay generally get 2 separate sets of DME tags. This is because each stay at each resort is on a separate reservation number, and one odd kink in the computer system is that each reservation number generates a set of DME tags. People doing a split-stay of course only need one set of luggage tags.

There is no such thing as DME luggage tags for the return trip, the trip from your resort back to MCO.
