Hi,
I'm leaving for Disney on Friday ( ) and I have a question about the luggage service for the Magical Express. I've used Magical Express before but I've always taken my luggage with me but since the wonderful airlines have been cutting back on flights we will be leaving 3 hours later than scheduled. We're planning on going right to the parks after we get there so using the luggage service would help us out a bit. I had a horrible experience on my honeymoon in May (we went to Mexico but our luggage didn't come with us right away) so I'm just a bit nervous that our luggage will somehow go missing. Has anyone used this service and if so can you tell me any good/bad experiences? Thanks so much!

I have used it before, and it's great.

Me too! No problems at all.

It will take a few hours for the luggage to get to your room and they do recommend if you arrive late in the day to pack a carry on with your night clothes, etc.

MAGICAL EXPRESS Is indeed magical it's like as soon as you land the mouse takes care of everything all you need to do is have fun.

I agree with everyone. I've used Magical Express 3-4 times and never had a problem. If you are arriving at Orlando early and you room is not ready. Go enjoy the parks and when you arrive back in the afternoon/evening you bags will be in your room. If you are arriving late I would suggest bringing a change of clothes and all the necessities you might need to sleep for that night because your bag probably will not be available until early morning.

Also if you are really worried about not getting your bags or the airline losing them you can do this. Sign up for magical express but don't put the yellow tags on your bags before leaving your home airport. When you arrive at the airport in Orlando go pick up your bags at baggage claim. Then go to the Magical Express area and check in like normal. The magical express bus drivers will assist you with putting your luggage underneath the bus and your bags will travel with you. You can also use this option when arriving late at night. We did this once when we had a late flight and didn't want to be without our bags.

Okay, we are arriving early, before our room will be ready and using the Magical Express, my question is, while we will put things in our carry on that we will want before our room is ready, is there any ability to give them our carry on's when we check in so that they can be put in our room with our luggage or are we going to have to lug all of our carry on luggage with us everywhere we go prior to our room being ready?

We always arrive early, and they take our luggage to our room when it is ready. We check in and go to the parks. If we have carry-ons from the plane, we store them, and they deliver those, too, when the room is ready. LOVE Magical Express.

They will take your carry-ons at the luggage holding. They ( for us CSR) will put a white tag on it and place the IN on the room number. I kept our swimsuits and change of clothes in our carry on and then just changed into them while my husband checked us in. Then he changed and bell services let us know to take our bags to the luggage hold. It was perfect because we were able to wear comfy clothes on the plane and then just leave our carryons and head to the parks! Yeah more park time!!!! Then when we got back at 10pm PIXIE DUST Everything was in our room.

Yes any carry ons you have with you on the plane can be checked with the bell hops at the resort. Those bags will also be brought to your room along with the checked bags from the airline. That way when you return to your room all you bags should be in the room. That is exactly what happend with us on our last trip to WDW back in June. We arrived at WDW at noon, and our room was not ready. We left out carry on bags with the luggage bell hops and were given a claim tag. We then went enjoy the parks. We had to call later to find out our exact room around 3pm. then when we returned later that evening to the resort all our bags were in the room. You should have no problems.

I'm relatively new to the podcast. So please excuse me if just jumping in is inappropriate.

We've used ME on the last three trips and loved it. Just make sure you get the disney tags and attatch them in addition to your bag check tags (we added ME after we booked the trip and long story short Disney had to rush mail us the lug service tags). I also suggest trying to pick one carry on that you don't give to luggage services even at check in. This way you can have sunscreen, fanny packs, etc. and head straight for the parks.
