Magical Express luggage question

My daughter and I are flying in 12/21 about 11:45 pm we will be staying at POP Century that first night then moving to BWV for the rest of our trip. We will be leaving POP by 7:30 or 8 the next morning.

Here is my problem. I am wondering if we should take our bags to the hotel ourselves rather than use the luggage service. I am afraid the bags would get to the hotel the next morning after we have already checked out.

If we do pick up our bags ourselves are should we leave the Disney tags off the bags?

Anyone advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

I am almost positive that you can't use the luggage service that late at night. I heard that after 10pm you have to get your bags yourself and take them to the Magical Express bus with you. In that case, you wouldn't put the yellow tags on your bags.

Hockeygirl is 100% correct.

AFAIK the 10:00p cut off for DME luggage is an internet myth. Another site posted this as offical policy but PMs from a couple employees said this is not true. Luggage delivery at night will be slow and I think the OP would be better off getting their own luggage.

Lewis - if the OP packs necessities in a carry-on, is it possible for them to take DME to Pop but have their luggage sent directly to BWV?

That is a good question. My husband and son are arriving the next morning and going to BWV so we have luggage tags for BWV. If I put those on the bags would they take them to BWV?

I think NO because you bags are tracked to the bus rider .I would call ME direct and ask in theory this would work but your room is reserved when you check-in at ME counter this is where your problem lays as your bags would have a day in limbo.

Can you take their luggage? DME will send you extra tags some airlines will still let you check 3 bags.

It would be better if they took hers.I think! But they would have to use the tags with BWv on them.

I was told by a Disney CM that this was ok. I think it's a good idea to call and double check though.
