My arrival is at 9am and I know it's around 3 hours to get your bags to your room .. But since its early and if we don't have a room assigned where do they bring the bags

They are brought to Bell Services at your resort and from there are delivered to your room when your room is ready. So bring anything you want immediately available in your carry on bag.

The rule of thumb is about three hours after you check into your resort. So, for you, that would be before normal check-in time, so my guess is somewhere within a few hours of when your room is ready. To be safe, I would assume it's three hours after your room is ready (I doubt it'll take that long).

Keep in mind, its "within 3 hours from resort checkin". It will take about 90 minutes from when you get off the plane to get to the resort.

And yes, checked bags are held by bell services until you have an assigned room.

...and then delivered to you room whether you're there or not. Another of the great services for DME guests.

If your flight arrives on-time at 9, you should be at your resort by 10:30. Which means your bags can be expected to be in your room by 1:30. If you mean that you arrive at your resort at 9? Your bags should be in your room by noon. They will be taken to Bell Services/Luggage Assistance first. When rooms are ready, the bags are then taken to each room. It's so wonderful to not have to worry about bags getting to your room. Love not having to be there to receive them.

With a morning arrival and DME, here's what's likely:

  • Check in mid-morning at resort. Room keys are put on Magic Bands.
  • The room is not ready. It might be ready any time until 4 p.m.
  • When the room is ready, the resort sends a text message with the room number.
  • Guests continue to have fun at whatever park they're visiting. There's no reason to rush to the room.
  • Eventually, the guests go to their room. Their bags are in the room.

There's no reason to be overly concerned about whether it's "3 hours" or "up to 3 hours" when it's a morning arrival and the room is not ready. At the same time that guests are notified with the room number, Bell Services/Luggage Assistance is notified. If the bags are at the resort (which they should be if it's been a few hours since landing), Bell Services/Luggage Assistance just has to queue up the bags for delivery.

Carry-ons are a separate matter. They can be left with the bell desk in the lobby and retrieved any time.
