Magical express / luggage question

We are staying at AKL in less than a month. We are registered for the magical express and just rec our luggage tags. My mom has just booked a limo to pick our group up at the airport, but no one knows but her and I. Can I keep the luggage tags on there and have the luggage get delived even if we are not taking the Magical Express?

If you do not check-in with the ME desk, technically, they will not look for your luggage.

You may get lucky and they might pick it up anyway, but the policy is that if you do not ride the bus, they will not claim your luggage.

If you use the luggage tags the luggage will go to the resort on the tag.

If the airlines lose a piece of your luggage and you do not check in to ride on the ME, they will not know to look for your luggage.

We always take a towncar and honestly, it takes no time to go to the carousel and retrieve your luggage. Since ME started, the luggage gets out there pretty fast and the 5 minutes we have to give up is worth it rather than risking ending up with no luggage once you arrive at your resort.
