You can use ME with any airline, right? Just want to be sure. Getting ready to book our plane tickets. I remember seeing something about being able to do flight check in from the resorts and SW wasn't listed as one of the airlines.

We werer there in May of this year and we were able to use the check in and we flew Southwest. Is was my understanding that they were "testing" it at POP only, but we stayed at ASMu and everything went like clockwork. Have a great time !!!!

We stayed at the BCV this July and Southwest was participating. We were able to check our bags at the check-in kiosk near bell services. It was very nice not having to check bags at the airport.

My understanding is that you can use any airline with Magical Express when flying in to Orlando, just make sure you have your yellow tags on your luggage if you want the ME folks to grab your bags. The quirk is when you are leaving, Southwest is now a participating airline so you can use RAC (Resort Airline Chieck in). When I spoke to the RAC folks in May they said that they used to be kinda bored, but now that SW has been added they are really busy. It is a very nice addition to be able to just take your bags to the lobby, check them in, and not have to worry about them (well, at least no more than you normally worry about your bags following you on the plane). I had flown when SW was not a participating airling and had to lug my bags on the bus, I was so excited when I found that they were now a participating airline!

That's correct. Anyone flying into MCO and headed to a WDW Resort can use Magical Express in both directions. :cool1:
You must call to make a reservation (or contact your DU agent!) and then you will get the yellow luggage tags in the mail. That will allow your luggage to be picked and "magically" :wizard: whisked off to your resort room without you having to visit baggage claim.
The only hitch is that if you are not flying on a "participating airline" then you have to take your own bags back to the airport and check in like regular people. ;)
If you are on a participating airline- the above post describes that process nicely. :thumbsup2

The Swan is not a Disney owned resort but is eligible for some of the Disney resort perks, can you use Magical Express to and from the Swan?

No, the Swan and Dolphin are both ineligible for Disney's Magical Express. Disney only contracted with their operated resorts. They offer Extra Magic Hours as a courtesy perk for S/D because it doesn't cost them anything to offer it. It costs Disney $$$ for that DME contract.
