Magical Express and Luggage Question

Every year we go to the word, we use Magical Express and use the yellow luggage tags and have our luggage delivered to our rooms. This year we plan on doing the same but there is a slight possibility if everything aligns right and all flights are on time, we will get a lift in a rental car? We will not know until we land. Does anyone know if you schedule DME and do not take it, if your luggage will still be delivered to your room? Yes, I know we can choose not to use the yellow tags and just pick up our luggage and put it in bottom of the bus but I prefer not to do that as we plan on landing at 8:00 am and don’t want to go through any additional hassle incase the ride falls through or the room is not ready.

While Disney states 'DME can not be booked as a luggage delivery service', they do nothing to prevent a guest from reserving it, then not taking the bus but still tagging bags.
Very, very few people have reported any issues with doing this.
