Magical Express and guests staying with us?

We're going home to SSR for the first time in June 07 (Dec 06 trip to Poly), and some friends may stay with us. We are driving down and they will be flying into MCO.

If I add them to our reservation (which I have to do, IIRC), would they be eligible for ME?

I may even split or cover a town car for them, instead of picking them up ourselves. We don't know where we're going in Orlando, and it'd eat into our valuable park time!

As long as they're on your reservation they would be eligible for ME. Save the money for the town car and send them to your resort in first class on the ME bus. They'll love the ride, it really gets you in the mood.

Thanks for the info.

Do you think that highly of ME? I have read positive and negative reports. It is their first trip to WDW, and I do think it would be great if they were enveloped by the magic as soon as they arrive.

We used the ME on our way home in Aug. The "going away" video was not working so they played the "welcome" video instead. I wished we had been able to use the ME when we arrived because it really would have started our holiday on the right magic note.

Did you enjoy the whole ME experience as far the transportation aspect is concerned? BTW, they are from Canada, too.

Yes they will be able to use ME, however, because they are not the members you will have to arrange ME service with MS.

We used it for the first time in August and it was great. Our video didn't work going to the resort and going back to the airport. The driver said that they were trying out some new programming that would auto start the movies for the driver when they got to a certain point in the trip. He said that he use to provide his own movies however, they took out the player and added some other contraption that wouldn't allow him to use it. Don't know what has happened with this. Guess I will find out next week when we use ME again.
