I was just checking something on Delta and noticed that my flight number home has changed. The time is still the same though. I was wondering if i need to call or change something for more ME info. Can I just have them change the info at the resort? I am not going for another 28 days so i do have time.

Since it is for your flight home, just update it at the DME Welcome Center when you arrive.

You will be fine. We have gone to WDW and flew standby for a different flight than what was on our ME travel documents and we had no issues. Just tell them at the ME check in counter and they will make a note on your reservations as to what flight you flew in on.

No need to worry. Trust me. We once took a bump - gotta love the free future flight vouchure- and when we got to the SSR we walked by the luggage room on our way to check in, and saw our luggage in the luggage room. It had arrived ahead of us seems our luggage did not get bumped from the orginal flight. So we told the CM who was driving us to our room and he went and retrieved our luggage and put it on the golf cart with us.

So even if you documents say one flight number and you actually fly on a different flight you will be fine. :thumbsup2

However, the OP is talking about their flight home, so they will need to tell the folks at DME their new flight number so that DME can provide them with the correct bus time to get them to the airport on time. The can call DME ahead of time or tell the folks at the DME desk when they get to MCO.

You must call and give them the new flight number, so they can make sure they get you on the correct bus back to MCO.

I did this a few weeks ago, when Airtran changed my flight number. They do keep track of it - last year, our flight number did not change, but our flight time did. ME tracked it, and we got an extra 45 minutes in the park!

Please re-read the post again - she is talking about her return flight, which IS critical that ME has the correct time for - it is critical to them being scheduled on the correct bus for their return.

well the good news is we are just traveling with our carry-ons so i am not worried about suitcases or anything. Also our flight down is the same so it seems like i can just check in with ME counter once i get there and update that info. Does that sound right?

Yes. That's correct.

You could also call the ME people after you get to the resort to update the info for the flight home. Just be sure to do it at least a couple of days before departure so that they have time to put the correct info on the letter they slip under your door the night before you leave.

Hi,
I had the exact same thing happen to me with American Airlines. Phoned to let them know, but it was *after* I had received my Magical Express packet.

Not a problem. The letter they slipped under our door the day before we left had all of the new information in it (and stickers for our check-in luggage).

Also if you have a seat assignment, it is good to check to make sure you still have the seat assignment. I am flying Airtran.

I noticed that my departure flight home had changed and called it into ME. I double checked and while they still charged me for a seat assignment, the return flight showed a ??? under my actual assignment. I looked at the plan and my seat was taken so I thought it was okay.

It bugged me for a few days and I called Airtran and sure enough, 19A was not me! The agent said when they change flight numbers, they roll over the info into a new account and my return flight seat assignment did not roll over. Luckily they had a window seat a few rows back and I got it. I was lucky I called because we are 2-1/2 months out and the plane is almost full already. I would have been flying stand-by during late evening hours and I am by myself, so that would not have been good.
