We have an extended family gathering coming up with some of our inlaws and I've not used the Magical Express service before (have usually done Mears or a limo) and had a few questions...
We have 5 rooms booked under 5 different reservations (love that best rate AP site) and I think I've now got it sorted out (a couple of *really* long calls to CRO) to where we have the correct people's names on the appropriate rooms and the correct flight info for each reservation.
-Do the DME folks care if every person listed on the room is there to board the bus? We had to book 3 of the rooms under my wife's AP and 2 of the rooms have my name on there as well as the people who will be staying there since we made them using my AP.
-When CRO put in my flight info for me (wouldn't "keep" when I put it on the website), they just put in the airline and flight #, no arrival time or point of origin or anything. Is that a problem?
-If we're connecting through another city, does the luggage make the trip okay even though they just have the departing flight #? So going outbound from Orlando, will the luggage get matched up with us, or do I need to provide connecting flight info as well? Didn't see anywhere to put such.
-Are the luggage tags sent to the address of the person who created the reservation regardless of who's name is currently listed? Not a problem to redistribute them but could be a problem if that causes a glitch and they don't get sent at all.
-The whole DME thing does work out okay, right? I know it must since I don't see much ranting on it, but having micro-managed our trips in the past, I'm a little uneasy about trusting something as critical as luggage over to an unknown system. Any particular tips to make sure everything goes smoothly?
Things used to be so much easier in the past...
Thanks in advance for any replies! I know I'm overthinking this and needless worrying, etc, but it's our first trip with DD and the first time we've managed to drag the inlaws along, so I really want things to go smoothly so they get the magic and don't have to be coerced into the next trip...
