So my question is this. I know buses in value resorts pick people up from other resorts to take to the parks. What about resorts like port orleans? I know AKL goes right to the park and back.

Now same question about DME, does it go direct to the hotel from the airport and back or does it make stops?

Of the values, only the All Star resorts share buses, and even they don't share all the time.

POR and POFQ occasionally share buses during the slowest times ( like mid day). The other mods don't share, but each resort has multiple bus stops.

The monorail deluxes share buses, as do the Epcot deluxes.

Whether going to or from the airport, all ME buses stop at multiple resorts.

DME routes are very fluid. You could take a bus, from MCO, to POR today and it could be the first stop, of three. Then, someone could take it tomorrow...POR could be the third stop! Same scenario returning to MCO.
Then resort to park buses pretty much follow the same routes, day after day. Pop and AoA don't share a bus with other resorts...Pop had its own bus as does AoA. The AllStars can combine resorts, or each one could have its own bus.
The moderate resorts? With the exception of POFQ, each resort has multiple stops within the resort...usually 3 or 4. FQ has just one stop, and 'usually' has its own bus.
Even the deluxe resorts can share routes. YC shares with BC. S/D share a route. BW usually has its own route, but can be combined with S/D, and even with YC/BC.
SSR and OKW have their own routes but both have multiple stops within the resort property.
AKL and Kidani share a route.

Having stayed at POR and POFQ many times, the DME stops for us has always been the same.. and I know they can change. But every time we've stayed at either one of Port Orleans, the DME stops were - OKW, SSR, POFQ and POR and in that order.

As far as buses to the parks - POR and POFQ will typically share going to the parks, but not all of the time. Coming back from most of the parks, POR and POFQ have their own dedicated bus stop number. Except for I want to say Epcot and AK - I remember them sharing the same bus stop at those two, so the bus would definitely stop at both going to the resorts, with dropping off POFQ first. But it can change. This is just what I've experienced.

POR and CSR, yes - but CBR has seven. One at e ach village and one where you check in out.

I've been headed to BWV on several occasions when the DME bus stopped at POR. I've been on the bus to both SSR and OKW and the bus didn't go to POR. One time I was on the DME bus, returning to MCO, from BWV, and the bus went to SSR. I believe the stops prior to BWV were YC/BC, then us, then SSR. No OKW or POR...even though it makes sense to group POR, POFQ, OKW and SSR together. Sometimes I think a monkey is making the routes up each day!!!

And this is one reason I have no interest in staying at CBR!!! Way too spread out, with too many bus stops. Thanks for the clarification.

I have stayed at POFQ/POR a total of 8 times and each time that was the route and order our DME bus was. It has never been any different for us, so weird! LOL

I can't tell you how surprised I was each time we went to POR!! But, like I always say....DME routes are very fluid, and can change overnight!!! It's crazy.

I think the logistics for the DME buses have to be the hardest to work out.
I'd guess they'd start with the expected guests arriving during a given 30 min period, then arrange them in some sort of logical groupings so that a bus is at it's most full but not waiting an excessive amount of time.
That is going to change all the time
Then you have flight changes outside of your control that can really throw it all off kilter.
And since the groupings of guests can change all the time it has to change the groupings all the time.

Wonder do you happen to always arrive at a similar time of day? That may play in to what resorts your bus services since there may be some consistency in the number of guests arriving at some times of day
Just a guess

We always arrive in the morning hours, never later than 10am. I also think they probably go by the day and how many guests are expected to arrive at a certain time, and where they are staying.

CBR has seven, but not all buses will stop at all seven. Sometimes they split the route going in, especially with MK.
