Hi everyone :wave2:
This December we are surprising our 4 children with a Christmas holiday in Florida! :cheer2:
I'm struggling with ideas for Christmas day. We were last over for Christmas 2012 and had our Christmas day lunch in Cinderella's castle, which was magical. so now i'm struggling to kind of top that. pixiedust:
My children are now 15/12/8/5. my initial idea was to spend the day in IOA/US and eating in Hard Rock (my two eldest boys would love this) but Hard Rock doesn't take bookings and i really don't want to take the risk of not getting in.

I hope you will share your ideas with me!

:thanks:

Caroline

I still think the IOA/US idea is good and just see where you can eat there

We are also from the UK (if that matters) and when we went at Xmas we went to Epcot late morning and had dinner at Garden Grill. This is the one that rotates (very slowly) in the Land Pavillion. It was a really good choice - Chip n Dale are characters in there and we had loads of good interaction with them as it wasn't very busy (we went mid afternoon) e.g. One of them took a selfie with my daughter's phone. The food is similar to a Xmas dinner as well, which was nice.

We also did it as part of the Candlelight Processional dinner package so that is an option if you fancy it.

Epcot surprisingly didn't feel overly busy, probably because it's so big, although we didn't attempt to get on many rides apart from the ones we had Fast Pass plus for. We wandered round World Showcase in the evening and ended the night watching Illuminations from a VIP area (also included in the CP package although not really necessary).

A great day.

Do you have reservations yet? Things are fairly booked up. Looking at what is available, (I looked for 5... My party size), I like the sound of Hoop de Doo! That is going to be a good laugh. Ironically, my family is going to have our Christmas Dinner at Rose and Crown, but I would not recommend that to a Brit! We are also going to go to see Star Wars at the AMC in Disney Springs. have a super trip!

Thank you for your wonderful ideas! The candlelight performance sound magical!
I've been trying to get a bog reservation but as we are staying in a villa (not onsite) so all of the reservations are gone! I shall keep trying! fingers crossed

Each time we've been to WDW at Christmas, we've spent Christmas Day at Epcot. It's a ghost town until after noon and then it gets really crowded. That morning time is great though!
