Did you spread out your down payment? My guide said 4 weeks from when final down payment is in. Turned out to be 11 days from that.Wow - I closed in May and still don't have MB...yikes!
Nope. All at once.Did you spread out your down payment? My guide said 4 weeks from when final down payment is in. Turned out to be 11 days from that.
Buying direct after buying resale is an eye opening experience. It makes going back to the resale process even tougher.Closed on 6/19 and magical beginnings arrived on 7/1. Everything about buying direct is so easy!
Agreed. Until you have to pay the bill.Buying direct after buying resale is an eye opening experience. It makes going back to the resale process even tougher.
It depends on the resort, the restrictions, and the spread (including the higher resale closing costs vs the 0% direct Disney Visa financing that generates a 2% back which can go to dues). I’d go direct on any small dollar VGC and VGF right now if they had inventory…..Agreed. Until you have to pay the bill.
That’s a long time. I think most people got it by the 3rd week after final payment. I’d call to see what heppened. Is it close or more than 6 weeks yet?Nope. All at once.
Thank you, it’s about 5 weeks at this point. TBH, I lost track because we were in WDW last week but I just emailed my guide to see if he can confirm it was sent. If I don’t hear back I’ll call MS tomorrow. That’s a long time. I think most people got it by the 3rd week after final payment. I’d call to see what heppened. Is it close or more than 6 weeks yet?
Update: I just checked my mail and ironically there was a letter from DVCMC - felt a little bit guilty insinuating they hadn’t sent the MB check - until I opened and saw it was my dues invoice…so they clearly have my addressThank you, it’s about 5 weeks at this point. I'm not aware that automatic monthly dues payments could be charged to a CC. I thought it had to be a bank draft. Has something changed?I have all of my contract set to automatic payment - should I expect they’ll charge my cc on the ‘Payment Due’ date (so 8/15 in my situation)?

Not to derail the thread but qq about dues. I have all of my contract set to automatic payment - should I expect they’ll charge my cc on the ‘Payment Due’ date (so 8/15 in my situation)? Thanks!
I’m paying the entire dues bill in full - it’s just being sent now bc I just closed on direct contract so it’s for part of the year. Moving forward, it would be set to charge my cc in full in Jan.I'm not aware that automatic monthly dues payments could be charged to a CC. I thought it had to be a bank draft. Has something changed?
I know that an owner can set a CC to automatically pay their entire dues bill in January, but I'm not aware that monthly payments can be on a CC.
As far as I know automatic loan payments are EFT from a checking account only. Additional payments can be made via credit card.I'm not aware that automatic monthly dues payments could be charged to a CC. I thought it had to be a bank draft. Has something changed?

Yes, I did. I’m just wondering when it will actually charge my CC - I set it up two weeks ago as soon as I received the email notification. I just noticed on the paper invoice that the payment due date is 8/15. So I’m curious if it will charge then or sooner. You have to set up payment for the new contract...your other settings do not carry over for it.
Sorry - I wasn’t clear in my initial post.As far as I know automatic loan payments are EFT from a checking account only. Additional payments can be made via credit card.

Yep, it gave me the option to pay in full - that’s what I selected. You can't do monthly payments using a CC....you must pay in full. I know that they have the option to auto bill a CC in January for the full amount if it is set up that way...I do not know if that applies with a new contract when you want to pay in full with the CC. Did it give you that option when you signed up on how to pay (in full or monthly).
If it allowed you to pick pay it in full, and then enter the CC number, I would say it will go automatically...if not, then I would go in and do it yourself.
Bumping this back up - I purchased Riv direct in late May and closed early June. It’s inching close to the end of July and I still haven’t received my MB check. I’ve called MS a few times and was told waiting this long is typical. Last week they said give it one more week…but still nothing.
Anyone else have a longer wait?
