Does anyone have experience with the Magic Your Way plus Dining package? For a family of four, for instance, is is a good value or worthwhile? Do you think it costs less than buying meals while staying on the property.

Counting the days until two kids birthdays in the park and another go at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in October

thanx

I would suggest that you first look through the participating restaurants here:
Magic Your Way Plus Dining - click on the link to View and Print the Brochure. You'll need Adobe Reader to view it. There are other lists available to read, but this is the official Disney released list.

Then go to www.allearsnet.com and look through the various menus for those participating restaurants - see what you would typically order for a counter-service and a table-service and if it saves you more than $35 per adult per day, and $10 per child 3-9 per day - it's a good deal. It's also a good way to prepay most of your meals.

If you don't think you'd eat as much as what you're getting for the dining plan, take that into consideration since both the counter-service and table-service meals include dessert per person. You also get the snack per day, too. And it includes tax & tip.

We'll either take quick things to eat for breakfast in the room or split a breakfast in the foodcourt each morning. It's just the husband and I, so it's a good deal for us.

It depends on the ages of your kids and how much they eat. The menus are listed on the web with prices... do the math. My kids are 12, 9, 9 and we like to eat -- it would be a good value for us.

I second the idea to go to allearsnet and look at the menus. You don't know what each person would order, but you can get an idea of what them meal would cost if you were to pay for it.

On our fall trip, we ate one sit-down meal each day, and the rest was counter service. I budgeted $140 a day for our family of 4 (me, DH, DS age 3 and DS age 15 months) and we spent most of it, so for us, the dining package would save us money. DH and I are considering a fall trip without the kids, and I don't know if it will be a good value for us or not.
