magic your way dining option question

I am very interested in the magic your way dining option for an additional $35.00 extra but I am not interested in counter service food. I read that you can substitute two sit down dinners for a charactr meal but can you substitute counter service meals for sit down meals? We will not be having lunch at counter services and plan to only eat out in the evening. I called Disney but they could not help me so I am hoping there is someone out there who knows! Thanks

Unfortunatley no, at this time you can not, but maybe if enough people comment on this they will change after roll out... The MYW plus dining package (which is hotel room, tickets and dining) would be 1 counter sevice, 1 table service and 1 snack per person per day. They are divided up in different accounts and the computer keeps track of which you used (counter or table).

The other package MYW Premium Package (which is also hotel, tickets and dining but has more options) will be Breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2 snacks per person and will not be limited to table/counter service, that one can be used anywhere. It also includes recreation, golf, cirque du soleil, and som other options...

If I'm not mistaken...isn't it ONE sit-down equals a character meal? TWO sit-downs may be "traded" for a meal at a "signature" restaurant. Right? The way I understand it, if you're staying for six nights, you can have six character meals if you want.

That's the way I understood it to be. I plan to do several character meals using the dining plan.
