Back to Castaway Cay: Loved it. Really. I just should have taken my friend's advice and walked down further towards the adult beach. Problem was the kids had all arranged for their friends to meet them, and they were swimming near the platform, so we didn't want to leave them hanging (or drowning, actually). And that Konk Kooler? Man, I ordered one at 11 am (hey, don't judge me, SOMEWHERE in the world it was happy hour), and it tasted like runny yogurt. Blech. But lunch was really good. It felt reminiscent of Typhoon Lagoon, actually. The photos I got of the ship through the palm fronds were awesome, and the place was truly gorgeous. But I'd prefer it if everyone else stayed on board next time. Maybe if I ask nicely...
And that was it! We drove home the next day (geeks in shorts in 30 degree weather once we hit North Carolina), but what the heck. With a rockin' tan, anything looks good! And that's it folks, the trip report! Disney does it in style, and we had a fantastic time. The kids made friends, we made friends, and we haven't had that much alone time in 16 years of marriage! We'll never forget this trip ...
