I bought a cute, Disney-themed Smartphone holder with a shoulder strap for our Fantasy cruise, which our tween used to carry her Wave Phone and room key... worked perfect!!

Tried to use it on the Wonder for our Alaska cruise, and the Wave Phone was too big.

Now, we're heading on the EBTA on the Magic in May. I want her have something that works, as the cruise is 2 weeks long! Are the Wave Phones on the Magic the size of the ones on the Fantasy, or more like the Wonder ones? Anyone have the actual dimensions of the Magic phones?

Thanks!!

I would just use the DCL Navigator app instead of the wave phones to communicate with traveling partners. Just my 2¢.

The WP on the Magic are the same as on the Wonder.
I don't know about the dimensions, but they usually have a clip attached on the back if that helps?

Internet onboard can be a lot more unpredictable during the transatlantic.
(I'm not saying don't use it. I'm not saying the internet won't work. I'm just saying it's better to be prepared for it not to work well and be in for a nice surprise when it does...)

We're the type that like to put our iPhones in the safe when we board, and not take them out until the end of the cruise. We enjoy the "technology free" time!!

While the connection to the outside internet may be unpredictable, there will be no effect on the internal ships wifi. That's all that is needed for the Navigator app to work properly.

Cool, I understand and respect that. However, using a wave phone is not exactly being "technology free". Do you take photos?

We were on the EBTA in 2016 :-) We used our phones with the app and didn't have any issues. Much easier to text, you can view menus and activities, and we were able to take pics any time :-) Hubby who usually puts his phone in the safe actually used this time. But... I can respect your decision to not use.

Anyway, I don't have dimensions but I did take a pic next my daughters iphone 5 in an otterbox and my son's iphone 4. Maybe that will will help you determine if it will fit.

Did anyone ever figure out the dimensions for the wave phones on the Wonder? (after the 2016 renovation)

I used the navigator to text my son on the Fantasy. He said he was sitting in the Vibe the whole time, and there were no texts until he went to the entrance of the Vibe. So I don't know how reliable the internet is in all places on the ship.
