Magic tricks for ADRs?

Hi there--I heard on a podcast that we should try making our Sci-Fi ADR for a group of 6 and then modifying because capacity limits mean they are more likely to give reservations to a "full car" than just us 3. Has anyone had any luck with something like this? Hacks for getting reservations for B& C, Topolino's Breakfast, etc? Our ADR date is 10/7 and we'll be up at 5 CST to try everything but wanted to know if you have any advice! Thanks!

Best advice I can give you is if you don't get what you want keep going back and checking, especially the closer you get to your trip. I have gotten lots of hard to get reservations within just 24-48 hours prior because people cancel last minute. That includes Whispering Canyon and The Land restaurant for Thanksgiving and Beaches and Cream to many times to count.

I could never find a reservation for 3 at Beaches and Cream. I did eventually book it for 4 people. Just have to be persistent. Seemed like only party of 2 or 4 would pop up. Good luck!
